Excellent video - again! In Rank Math's Setup Wizard, having trouble with getting the Search Console button to turn green. It's probably because I originally did the Setup Wizard on my staging server instead of the "live" server. I followed your steps to accomplish getting the live server setup. Before being able to verify the site, extra message popped up about having to add TEXT and CNAME values in my hosting server. So I added those and then got message that site was verified. Search Concole was still not green - so I'm gonna wait for a day and return to see if Search Console will go green. In the meantime I'm continuing to watch this great video. I really like your casual, light-hearted style!

Could be that. Make sure you redo it on the live site. Sometimes you have to reconnect and purge the site for it to go green.

This is absolutely the best Rankmath SEO tutorial video I have watched and I have watched lots of them. They always seem to miss the detail. Like how do you really mange to get the high ranking by resolving the errors reported in RM SEO - generally they either skim the surface or don't mention that part at all which makes me question do they really understand the tool in detail. You on the other hand have done an amazing job at explaining things in a simple coherent manner. best video I have ever seen. Well done and many thanks for taking the time to produce the tutorial... looking forward to future tutorial video from you.

Using RankMath's Instant Indexing and getting 403 errors? Go to Rank Math > Instant Indexing > IndexNow API settings > API Key > Click the 'Change Key' The key will change. Then Clear your Cache (purge). Then in the first 'Console' Tab - add your URL again if it's not already there. You should get Success 🙂

The section below that, the analytics, is the same. When I click webmaster tools, there is nothing in the Google search console field. Brilliant video. I've lways found SEO a bit of a dark art, and some of the apps you mention in the beginning I've tried and given up on. I have followed this and "got it" still have issues, as I set it up in my staging site and its caused no end of problems linking RM to the GA element.

Imran - followed this today and noticed an alert when you go to the Adanced part of the analytics setup - Universal Analytics properties will stop collecting data starting 1 July 2023. It’s recommended that you create a Google Analytics 4 property instead. Thoughts?

That is very strange - and I would double check with RM. Are you sure it's not there? It doesn't matter if gmail is a different email to Rankmath. You can connect with different emails.

Quick question. Why does RM create an issue, letting you know, if you use the same keyword on more than one page, and what is the issue? Surely there is going to be some crossover on all different websites pages. Can it be ignored? Thanks again. David

A very good point. And I am still confused as to the exact reason except that smart keywords should point to separate locations. Think of keywords as key-phrases rather than just words. That way you can expand on them a little more.

I have an uneducated question so please excuse my ignorance :) When I add a focus keyword, is rankmath communicating with Google regarding that focus keyword - or - is it just for me to use to be sure I'm optimized as best as possible but doesn't communicate that to Google? More specifically, the products on one of my sites are all very similar and the descriptions are very similar. If I use the same focus keyword for each of the products in RankMath, is that an issue? It seems that from what I can gather reading, this shouldn't be done. If it is bad to use the same focus keyword, would it be better to not use focus keywords on the products, but use it on the category instead? I'm not sure how to proceed on this. Your input is greatly appreciated!

When you add it, RankMath does show you possible versions of it that are in use, so you can either keep what you have or pick an alternate one. Best to use alternate keywords for products. You're allowed 5, so make the main one be as unique as possible, and the other 4 can be the same.

Thanks for a great tutorial! However I have some question about SEO. I will try to describe this as good as I can.I am positioning a website by the phrase "best steel knife". On the website I created a couple of subpages. One of the pages has the name "Best steel knife". The moment I point it in wordpress as the home page this url or otherwise slug disappears. In that case, can Google bots see this slug best-steel-knife? What is the best way to deal with this issue on the website?

How about renaming the page to be best steel knife including the URL, and then ensure that it says Home in the menu.

@@websquadron Thanks for the answer, but I don't know if you understood my problem correctly. When creating a website, I designed a home page where I put the most basic information. The main phrase for me is "best steel knife", so this page is optimized around this phrase. It gets a high score of about 95 in RankMath. However, after creating all the pages in the WordPress Panel, I have to indicate which is the HomePage and which is the blog. The problem is that, by definition, the slug disappears when the page in question is established as a HomePage. Moreover, even the SEO tool you recently recommended in one of your videos shows that the phrase is missing from the slug. If I point to another page in WordPress as HomePage my site with the main phrase has it again. Removing the slug from HomePage is an automatic function of WordPress. So the question is, should the page with my top phrase be indicated as HomePage or not? If it shouldn't be, what then should be on the HomePage? By the way, I've been trying to find the answer to this seemingly very simple question for a long time, but NO ONE has answered me so far. Previously used Yoast SEO. Bread crumbs could be created of any length (they were transferred to a new line). Switched to Rank Math. Now the circumcision of bread crumbs, although the place to place them even without transferring is quite enough. The maximum length is 65 characters, including delimiters. Hey Imran, thanks for this, really helpful as always. Could I please ask a question, perhaps you know the answer. When you use the "Domain" option, instead of the "URL prefix" google doesn't give you the Google Search Console verification HTML code or ID. It just verifies via the txt record it asks you to insert in the DNS records. I have tried to find the verification html code somewhere in Google console, but all I see is that I am the verified owner message. I can download the html file and insert it in the root directory...but can't find the info to add to Rankmath in the Google Search Console box. Any ideas on where this might be? It is all connected anyway, so not sure if it is required that the code is added to RM in this case...Thanks

Hi Imran, congratulation on your videos I really like them! If I had to use a "paid" plugin I would like to use SEOPress, for some reason, and after watching this video I was in doubt. Questions: 1 - Why don't you use Rank Math on your website? For me, I wouldn't like only to settle on a good SEO plugin. I would like to post good content, always observing good SEO practices, both in texts and in photos or other website elements. 2 - If I pay attention constantly and use Google Kit and the redirect pages plugin, do you think it would work? 3 - If I use Google Kit, what other plugins will I need? 4 - Could you make a video about good SEO practices without plugins?

We do use RankMath on our website :) I wouldn't rely on just Google Kit and Redirect Pages Plugin, and Google Kit alone would leave you missing much more SEO solutions. RankMath is free and is just one plugin - and I'd recommend that instead of many plugins where overlaps and conflict my occur.

if youre doing this after following the video on page speed optimization WP Fastest cache will cause cache problems. you will need to disable WP Fastest cache until you have done every verification you need to do before enabling it again
