My first concert. July 1975. Rickwood Field, Birmingham Alabama. Never a better show. I became a Guitarist and Vocalist. Love you Skynyrd!

Skynyrd STILL kicks ass and Rickey Medlocke is amazing at 73 years old. I never did get to see Skynyrd but I did see Blackfoot back in 1980 in Las Vegas ( I was only 18 years old). They opened up for Foghat and as much as I love Foghat Blackfoot put on a better show. Amazing concert!

Their just a tribute band now!!!,nothing beat the original BAND❤❤❤

I heard they're going to keep touring in 2024 I pray they have the respect to not call it Skynard. No original members and no confederate flag a stage full of money grubers

PS , I respected Rickey when he came in and replaced Ed in 97 . He was nothing but class , However since Gary had to stop touring this BS Rickey says about being in Skynyrd at any point before 1997 is bullshit . He was a studio session employee and only drummed on two songs cause Bob was off on one of his freak out adventures . Management didn't want to stop the recording of that album waiting for Bob to come back so since the guys knew Rickey they went with him . That's the absolute truth . I understand however Skynyrd as many others are no longer bands , they are corporations . Sad but true ✌️❤️

I grew up listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, this isn't them. I wish all these ancient shitty bands with no one left would throw the towel in, it's an embarrassing legacy to leave behind...

The problem isn't the music, or the band name, or the lack of connection to the actual band, it's just that everything is so cheap looking. They are just going through the motions musically and they just throw up a bunch of cheesy heart-pulling tributes that will emotionally touch just enough people to fill small venues and sell x amount of t-shirts. What's bad is it's ONLY about the money. And that is not what Skynryd was about. It's America, they can sell as many t-shirts as they like, bless them, and maybe (but I doubt it) some of that money trickles back to the family of the original band (including the singers.) But there is nothing wrong with people who criticize this "show." It is hard to watch, over the years it became more cheesy. It is like those fools who watch that motorcycle club show, Sons of Anarchy, and then pay for the show gear and wear it like they are in a MC.

We thought they put on a really great show. And we feel like we're lucky for band like this. That keeps all the Lynyrd Skynyrd music alive. Where we can go, listen to that music. Thanks to the band, the was a great show.🙂

@@DougMae17 Glad you enjoyed it. No debate that it's a good band of talented musicians. It does keep the music alive which is a good thing.
