I just found this kind of glue(it was marketed as hard builder, but it was actually the glue style)!! My brand isn't as nice as yours, but it's the same concept and I will never do my full cover tips any other way, now!! Love the video and tips. I'm going to throw builder in s bottle underneath next time, that's a great idea. 💜 thank you!

Thank you ❤️ I will definitely be trying the solid gel glue mixed with gel or dip colors to make some 3D shapes! Also, some of the tip shapes have varying sizes and it can be tricky. Maybe filing at the cuticle line a little bit might make a difference.

@@ErikaTheChaosManagerx4 Unfortunately, it had more to do with how short or long my nail beds are. I purchased the extra short almond shape because I prefer really short nails. I have always thought my nail beds weren't that long, actually relatively short. Well, I guess I was wrong, because when I started to size my tips, most of them barely went past the ends of my finger tips. My natural nails have no free edge, they're very short. I didn't realize how important the length of your nail bed was when purchasing full cover tips.

Don't make the mistake I made! Make sure you measure your nail beds and check the measurement charts she has online. I don't prefer long nails and thought I had pretty short nail beds. I purchased the extra short almond shape and most of them barely even went past the end of my finger tips. The length of your nail beds is extremely important when purchasing full cover tips....Lesson learned for me! 😩

I use primer and then base. I do cure the gel base for 30 seconds and then I leave it tacky when applying the tips and glue gel. It helps adhesion for me. I get absolutely no lifting or pop offs! I hope this helps. Thank you for watching!

This is one of the best videos I’ve seen and I’m going to try this. Please could you explain a little more about the protective builder coat you leave on your nails to protect them from the drill? Which product do you use and how often do you put on fresh builder gel.? Thanks so much x
@ErikaTheChaosManagerx4
@ErikaTheChaosManagerx4 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that! The protective layer that I use is either a builder gel that will give my thin natural nails some protection and strength under my tips and keep them protected after I remove the tips. It's not something that is required, but I prefer it to be there. Also, you can extend your nails with a builder gel as well instead of tips. Also, I will do a fill in instead of a full replacement as the builder gel grows out. I don't like to usually do a full removal often. Maybe every few months I'd say is a good time to redo builder gel or if it gets wonky.

Can the solid nail glue still be used for tip application if you don't have the gel base?
@ErikaTheChaosManagerx4

I would say that you can you it with primer as well, but the nails won't stay as long as when you use gel base. They will pop off much faster without the gel base.

I use a layer of builder gel or rubber base on my natural nails under all products. I rarely ever leave my natural nails exposed due to them being super thin and brittle. I cut them down to nubs with no free edge, prep the cuticles, and then apply the rubber base or builder gel in a thin layer. This helps tremendously!

Can I ask why you don’t flash cure each tip once they’re in place? I’ve only done my own a couple times, but find if I don’t immediately flash cure, they slip & slide around something fierce. Is this gel just that good, that it does slide at all??
