I've started putting my bread after the second rise into a cold oven and baking for 45 mins at 200 and it is rising more until the temp comes up to stop the rise maybe worth a try for you.

I do tend to do that as well, except being a gas oven it seems to heat up awfully quick, so sometimes it’s too quick!

That breakfast with ch9c on top looked absolutely decadent. I could definitely eat that joyfully . I dont mind dense bread at all . I love the cruchy edges too. My favourite hot lunch is bolognese sauce thinned a little and poached eggs in it ,then sauerkraut on top. Its so good. Great job lovely, thank you for sharing ❤❤❤

I don't mind dense bread either, at least it tastes like 'something' hehe :D THe kids regularly thin out leftover bolognese for lunch, I dunno if they've poached eggs in it! I've done the whats it called, shashuka (sp?) tomato style dish with the poached eggs in it with sourdough dipping bread as a lunch before though, and that would be very similar!

I did not realise how expensive it is to buy canning equipment. 😮 That's insane! I'm an amateur food preserver I think I've mastered freezing I'm now onto dehydrating different foods and how to store them.

Its an investment definitely, like a lot of things in a kitchen, and so long as you use them appropriately and they don't sit in a cupboard, I think its a worthwhile one :D

Definitely! I will make sure to get some footage :). Two of the rescues are still too skittish to come out of the cage. But the youngest one is enjoying some snuggles :)

What a wonderful video. So much going on. I just made lasagna last week. Of course it didn’t have fresh pasta in it like you but it was still delicious 😋. Awesome on making food for the dogs and cats. I never thought of doing that with the bones and carcasses. I always make broth and throw the bones away. I’ll have to try that next time. A pana cotta type desert. I pkt of your choice of jelly flavour jelly- I use all flavours off aeroplane jelly and my kids love them. I use the cheap brand also. The 250mls of boiling water. whisk until crystals are dissolved. Then I use a cup of greek style yoghurt. whisk that through. Cool in whatever containers you choose. I’ve used protein yoghurt, i have used the flavoured yoghurts to go with the jelly flavour. So if I strawberry, I’d use strawberry yoghurt. Or just simple use plain. Choice is endless, it’s fun and colourful. My young kids enjoy them.
