Another cracking video Trav. From the cheapest places I've ever been to, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, Cambodia, Latvia, Estonia I think Vietnam has to take the cake for the most delicious and cheapest food with the most variety.

G’day Travis, Your video’s keep inspiring me to work my arse off so I can retire at the end of 2028 in Da Nang. I tell all my friends how good Vietnam is but they reckon I talk BS. I redirected everyone to your last video & now everyone wants to know more. Told everyone to subscribe to your channel both Kellie and I thoroughly enjoy them. Whilst in beautiful, gorgeous, loveable Da Nang can you show me Babylon Garden Hotel that is where we stayed & have so many great memories. I heard Da Nang has its own special donut can you please show that as well. Can’t wait to met you & shake your hand. Cheers Your number 1 Fan in Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 Louis Kats 👍

Louis you are spot on mate, Travis vids are some of the best and he put me onto a visa agent who will help me do the same as you… once my house sells I’m heading over there in 4-6 weeks to Nha Trang & DaNang as I am wanting to try both cities out for a 3-6 month period and chose one to live in… I’ll prob start some vlogging once I get better at editing but mostly I’m looking forward to getting back to Vietnam as there people are so friendly, I originally lived in country victoria but now am up in airlie beach north QLD, so I’m used to the warmer weather, I’ll be catching up with Travis and it’ll be cool to all have a beer one day to thank him for his life changing content 🙏🏽 peace brother beers on me one day in DaNang

Thanks for the comment. Definitely can't beat the price here in VN. I love Japan as well but yes pricey. Although I was there recently and the USD to Yen is really good right, it was significantly cheaper than when I was there 5 years ago.

Duuuuude you eating The Real Vietnamese food, not like other youtubers going for the cheapest of the cheapest street food. I Love this. Yes my mother always made Chao for us when we were sick, with Pepper caramilized pork/thit kho tieu. Banh Hoi with crispy red pork was something we always had for special occasion, my brother loved it and always got it for his birthday. And ye, the Com Ga! many different, my mom always had tons of Ginger in it, but it was not fried. She cooked the chicken, then used that chicken broth to cook the rice with veggies + lots of ginger, then shred the chicken into it. WITH A SPICY GINGER nuoc mam =) I live in Norway.... This would be the price for what u just had, and very rare to get Banh Hoi with crispy pork: 60kr/137k Dong black coofee 200kr/460k Dong for Mi Quang, rare to find 300kr/690k Dong For Banh Hoi with crispy pork and Chao 179kr/413k Com Ga Drinks not free here haha, softdrinks or bottled water cost 40kr each haha. So total for 1 day eating here out 3 meals would be 859kr/1,97m Dong....... Thats like 15x more expensive
@TravisTravelsVN5 ай бұрын
Excellent comment thanks so much for adding this. Yes the prices are way more for you in Norway but I'm surprised to hear you can even find those dishes there. The shredded chicken version is pretty common here I havn't tried it yet. Adding the ginger sound nice.

Hey man thanks for the comment. So I mentioned in the video I usually cook at home. I'll buy at least a kg of meat each day (miced pork or pork belly or chicken breast) Its only about $4-5 for a kg. i'll eat mostly meat with a little rice, vegetables, and fruit throughout the day. Most vietnamese meals are very carb heavy, so I'll usually order an extra portion of meat whatever the dish is.

yes absolutely. Everytime I order I get extra meet on the side. Sometimes I just order a half kg to take home and eat with rice. Its just over 1 USD per 100g. Pretty good deal
