Why people want this to picked up by mainstream TV? Now it is scripted, filmed, produced like he wants. Quality is better or comparable to TV. We can watch it any time. In 1985 there was a friend of the family that was an general auto mechanic at the local race track. A rich guy showed up with his black countach , raced it one lap at the track and promptly wrecked it, badly. As the story was told to me the guy was so embarrassed he just left the wreak in the track and went home. The only thing of salvage was the black wing and the the mechanic guy gave it to me. the cart with the fan and filters is done backwards. put the filters before the fan. so the filters should be right under the grate counter and the fan below sucking the air down. that way the dust not only doesn’t get fought in the fan motor and get caked up on the blades which start loosing performance because of the build up of lint and dust, but the dust immediately gets trapped into the filter so it doesn’t have chance to blow around and possibly get blown back into the environment which is what you’re trying to prevent. you could position the fan directly under the filters to get better suction. this is what we use in woodworking to keep the air clean in a shop. watch some of those videos and you will get the idea. that’s a super super car, i was one of those teens with the countach posters in my bedroom. that car brings back some really nice memories. thanks for posting

I’m in the middle of detailing a black 5000QV, left under a cover in a warehouse for over 10 years.. the paint was good but filthy. As there was no grit on the car I sponged and leathered it first as I didn’t want water getting into its secret little places. I decided to hand polish the car, as you point out, a lot of edges easily gone through. I used 3M products on it working with ever finer compounds to remove spider Webb scratches. I finished the paint with a specific special polish designed for black paint only. Finished off with a good quality wax. The car now looks wet, not a scratch in sight. It’s a good idea to leave the fine line splits near the radiator vents as that proves it’s original paint, and aged as it would. True enthusiasts look for this when inspecting prior to purchase, so best left alone. It’s black on black and covered only 10,000 miles, I’ve also been commissioned to recommission the car to running and driving status, I’ve already completely rebuilt it’s carburettor fuel system and cleaned out the tanks, including replacing both fuel pumps. I'm kind of surprised Matt hasn't put some kind of clear bra on that, especially with one stage paint on the front. As I typed that I now wonder if putting vinyl on a one stage paint wouldn't potentially damage it.
@RK1FX5 жыл бұрын
If he did, it would go off after time WITH the paint. Trust me on that one. That paint is sooo damn fragile.

I was thinking the same thing but didn’t think about when you take the clear bra off

There's a reason why Larry, Kevin, Derek, and Daniel are some of the best detailers on the planet. It shows in this very video. These 4 men are some of the best detailers out there and they have literally YEARS AND YEARS of experience starting back when a Rotary polisher and 3M pads and polishes were the "standard". Now with literally THOUSANDS of products related to detailing, Larry and his fine fellow detailers have kept up with the science of detailing. And it truly is a SCIENCE now with all the advanced products available. I appreciate Larry and Kevin explaining everything they do to try and give us "weekend warriors" of detailing that will never even come remotely close to the knowledge that Larry, Kevin, and the others have. Thank you Larry, Kevin, Derek, and Daniel for allowing us to view how a seriously difficult detail such as this is done by the pro's of the detailing world. Many detailers would never want the normal person to see this. They want to keep this knowledge to themselves as their means of making their coin and making it seem like they have done something of a miracle on your car (charging you twice the amount in the process) because...well....they did a miracle on your vehicle. Not saying that I, or any other normal person could ever do this type of detail, but it's very nice that Larry and Kevin take the time to EXPLAIN, in detail, how these things are done so that someone with the time, resources, and materials, could actually attempt to complete a detail like this on their own vehicle. Sure, it may take a month to do it on your own or with a friend, but it can be done. Will mistakes be made? Most likely, but if your ok knowing that may happen, it could truly be a satisfying detail experience. Imagine what satisfaction and pride you would have completing something of this magnitude on your own. Again, Larry, Kevin, Derek, Daniel, and Matt Farah, thanks for showing this amazing detail to the masses out here. Thanks Matt for showing your amazing Lambo (one of the absolute best Lamborghini's of all time (on par with the incredible Miura of course), and enjoy that amazing ride you've undoubtedly worked very hard in your life to obtain. You are one lucky man to be the caretaker of that machine which will no doubt go down in history as one of the top ten vehicles of all time as far as recognition goes. I think almost every person on the planet knows what a Countach is as soon as they see it. It may be the most recognizable car of all time. And yes, I too had the poster on my wall in high school! I'll take mine in black, with the magnesium gold wheels, and camel colored interior please. Dreams.........

My father had one of these in the late 1990’s when I was a child. He left my family when I was very young and the only real memory I have of him is going for a ride in this car and putting my arm out the window. I wish he stuck around until my teenage years when I was in love with cars.

I still remember that the countach was one of my all time favourite cars and I had a magazine photo of it on my wall. It still looks like one hell of a wild car.

This channel is the epitome of quality over quantity. Larry thank you for all of your content over the years. I’ve been a loyal subscriber since the first year of your channel. You’ve been a phenomenal teacher of this art and I’ve applied your lessons to my own vehicles and boat. You keep making videos and I’ll keep watching!
