I'm graduating in two months and have a job lined up that is 176K base, with an additional 25K overtime projected, and a 10K sign on. I'm planning on grossing about 200 my first year. The most important financial question to ask yourself as a new grad is not "how much will they pay me" but rather "how far does my dollar go?" If you make 180 in California, you will be poor. If you make 180 in oklamhoma or Pennsylvania you will be rich. Cost of living is as significant if not more so than the straight base pay. Good video.

I am 31 (30 when I started ABSN school) and it is doable and completely worth it. I saved up money for 1.5 years so I would not have to take out any student loans. I was able to save up enough money for the program and living expenses for the 12 month program and 2-3 months post school. It is totally worth it. But I also am a huge budgeter. You have to tell your money what to do instead of wondering where it goes. So go for it!
