Yep, some dogs are just really athletic. My son's Mastiff/Boxer had to stay with me when he went on an offshore rig for a few months. Worse, they get to deal with insurance (if they have it), and have to pay the deductible. Once a helicopter is on scene, the police really should just stay away. The police were ultra aggressive, and it escalated the chase to the point where citizens lives were in more danger because of the police.
