The fact that she was 13 and he was 23 wasn't just "skipped" over by the judge, which is why she was explaining how the connection happened in the first place. It doesn't mean they were sexually involved. And since it's 18 years and 8 kids later, it's neither here nor there. They both have been through some horrible things but have to learn how to heal (which they obviously haven't done) in order to stop hurting each other and make it work.

First of all, everyone who has been molested as a child needs therapy, and for the most part, that is the whole world. It happens far too often and is pushed under the rug. Everyone needs to work through that trauma because when you don't it manifests itself in so many different ways. Most predators were preyed upon as children, it leads to a serious depletion of self-worth and will roll you down a road of self-destruction.

I'm very much not ashamed. In an argument ain't no boundaries. I've been with this man since I was 12 years old had a baby at 12 and been by his side. Even after he was arrested for impregnating a minor I refused to cooperate with the courts and the charges were later dropped.
