The Torah says my Elohim gave the command "And you must not maltreat an alien resident or oppress him, for you people became alien resident in the land of Israel. Exodus 22:21. The Torah was written by Moses who was married to an Arabian daughter of Jethro the priest of Midian by whom he had two sons Eliezer and Gershom whose descendants were prominent chieftains over the things made holy to Yahuvavhey-Nissi-Yireh my Elohim 1Chronicles 26:24-26. Moses progeny from his Arabian wife were also chieftains over the stores. They are the tribe of Levi. Moses Arabian brother-in-law was persuaded by Moses to be guide throughout the 40yrs wilderness journey. They are descendants of Abraham and his Arabian wife Keturah Genesis 25:1-3 and Ezekiel 38:13 they are called Sheba and Dedan if you will look at these two scriptures showing this is the people who are being maltreated by those you obey by supporting military subjugation of these people against the covenant made for their service to the people at the time of the Exodus from Egypt. These Palestinians whose homes are bulldozed out of existence and who have been made refugees and have been slaughtered and persecuted on the land of Israel today are descendants of that covenant promise made by my Elohim through Moses as written in Numbers 10:29-32. They have more right to dwell in security without disturbance on that land than anyone else or the 12 tribes because Hobab Moses brother-in-law earned the right by oath and solemn promise he and his progeny after him would inherit land in Israel and he and his offspring were given land as written in Judges 1:16. What is more I am a descendant of Zadok in the linage of the Maccabees and I know who the Messiah is his name is Emmanuel meaning when translated 'With Us Is God' God is with those who keep his commandments and do not harm innocent people and do not harm those in a covenant agreement with him.
@josephinemullar78575 жыл бұрын
@Vi Vi The bible clearly shows Moses wife Zipporah was Arabian. She was the daughter of Jethro who was a Kenite. If you want truth examine Exodus 3:1. These Arabs are the Palestinians being bulldozed off the land they were given as written in Judges 1:16. They owned land because Hobab who was Zipporah's brother reluctantly agreed to be guide to the tribes for 40 yr trek through the dessert as written in Numbers 10:29-33. They are also descendants of Abraham by his wife Keturah see Genesis 25:1-3 see how her sons were called Sheba and Dedan. They are the Palestinians Gog who is an Israelite came upon to get much wealth and property in the latter part of the years by the Balfour declaration Ezekiel 38:8, 13 and look how it is Sheba and Dedan these marauders came upon. The Kennites being descendants of Jehonadab sons of Recahab are listed in 1 Chronicles 2:55 and the descendants of Moses and Zipporah whose offspring were appointed as chieftains over the stores and things made holy to God during the reign of King David 1 Chronicles 26:24-26. They are also the ones who are blessed by God if you can discern that Sheba and Dedan are Kenite descendants of Jehonadab son of Rechab who are promised there will not be cut off from Jehonadab son of Rechab a man to stand before me (Yahuvavhey) always as written Jeremiah 35:19. They have kept that same command given by their forefather Jehonadab in never having drank any wine as written Jeremiah 35:8. They obeyed that command for over three and a half thousand years as a testimony to their obedience to family law that dispels all doubt as to who they are.. Their deaths and destruction in this day will be paid back upon all who have abused them in retribution in the fast approaching day of judgment.

@Ibn_Abdulaziz2 жыл бұрын
Actually the Sharee'ah would permit to marry the lev tahor women. Because they are the only ones who seem to fit with the description of Ahlul Kitaab. They seem chaste and cover their 'Awrah. They even put Izar (lower garment) on the women during menstruation. That's from the Sunnah. But as for not being in the same room as a menstruating women is not. One is allowed to sleep in the same bed and fondle with his wife during menses, except for intercourse.
@Ibn_Abdulaziz2 жыл бұрын
See 18:00 into the video, "the sleep sack" for the menstruating woman. It reminded me of these two Ahadith. This issue is very old, until the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم gave a ruling on what's allowed and not allowed with the menstruating woman. It was narrated that Anas رضي الله عنه said: "When one of their womenfolk menstruated, the Jews would not eat or drink with them, or mix with them in their houses. They (the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) asked the Prophet of Allah ﷺ about that, and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed the Ayah: "They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: "That is an Adha (a harmful thing)...[Al-Baqarah 2:222]. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded them to eat and drink with them (menstruating women) and to mix them in their houses, and to do everything with them except intercourse. The Jews said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ does not leave anything of our affairs except that he goes against it.' Usaid bin Hudair and 'Abbad bin Bishr رضي الله عنهما went and told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and they said: 'Should we have intercourse with them when they are menstruating?' The expression of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed greatly until we thought he was angry with them, and they left. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ received a gift of milk, so he sent someone to bring them back and he gave them some to drink, so we knew that he was not angry with them." [Sunan an-Nasa'i » The Book of Menstruation and Istihadah - كتاب الحيض والاستحاضة » Hadith 369] 5) Chapter: Fondling a menstruating wife Narrated Maimuna رضي الله عنها: "When ever Allah's Messenger ﷺ wanted to fondle any of his wives during the periods (menses), he used to ask her to wear an Izar." @@juniorchavesopicassodeyahu988 "Gypsies" or "Roma" are technically an ethnicity also, as well as a lifestyle and belief system of sorts, or at least a culture. Not to be confused with "Travelers" in the UK who are very similar and live a "gypsy lifestyle" but are not Roma, but their own ethnicity/culture, tending to be Irish or Gaelic of some variety. The "gypsy lifestyle" can kind of be seen like religious Judaism. AS it's still an ethnicity once you stop living the traditional lifestyle, but some question whether you are then an actually "Gypsy". But I guess that's where 'Roma" comes in. But if we want to name a cult, Lev Tahor would certainly fit the mold, as I would not say they are practicing general "Judaism" but their own very distorted version of it. Which parallels many Christian Cults. Like Branch Davidians, Peoples Temple, Sullivanians, Heaven's Gate and so on. They are to Christianity what Lev Tahor is to Judaism, which makes them a cult. Not even really Hasids in my estimation as Hasidism is..... well, certainly traditional, but rational often and most Hasidic groups can be considered "sects" but not "cults". Then when they become adults… let them do what they want. You want to be a mom of 10 kids… well you better have the energy to bathe each and every one of those 10 kids daily. Brush teeth, dress, and give proper hygiene care to them. It’s certainly not easy to be responsible for 10 little ones… but no one is forcing you. This is a mess!!!!

So…they only don’t marry girls under 16 because of Canadian law? Not because it’s completely ridiculous, likely married to much older men, pregnant before their body is ready, not so they can experience life? I don’t believe that they aren’t child abuse claiming to be marriage 😤
@manimalik65054 жыл бұрын
Jewish women did cover most part of their body over hundred years ago in the Middle East. Women in Europe used to wear long dresses and cover arms and legs. The spokes person attributes this to Islamic women. In Islam the women don’t cover all the body at home and can wear anything they like but only cover when leaving the home. Old portraits of Mary show her fully covered with a head scarf. So his logic is incorrect that Jewish women didn’t dress like this, yes some aspects of this group seem extreme such as sleeping fully covered and not washing which is unacceptable.

He said they would be allowed to get their high school diploma if they wanted. I guess that's a good answer because I'm almost positive none of those children even know what a diploma is. The key here would be to keep them from knowing anything else going on outside of their little community so that they have no knowledge of the world around them. I would have no problem with a place like this if they were told what other options there were. But they're all kept in the dark. The young men have no choice but to become Jewish Scholars because that's all their taught. If they get to a certain age and realize somehow they want to do something else with their life at that point they are stuck. They're only world is what has been put in front of them. They haven't been taught the languages being spoken outside of their community so at that point they could not even begin to try and start their life a new by learning something else. They would have to learn all the curriculum that outside children have learned in their 18 years. That would be far too much to go through for most people. Even though it wouldn't be impossible it's incredibly improbable. I mean, at least the Amish have Rumspringa. I mean, they are practically required to investigate the world around them so that when they choose to return to their Community it's because they want to. Not because they don't know any better.

They will always look at an adult to see if they are allowed to answer and would they dare to. What they’d say wouldn’t be an honest, out of the mouths’ of babes answer. It will be what they think they should say. It’s past bedtime, but if I knocked on my neighbours’ doors and asked the children simple questions they wouldn’t hesitate to answer. After many years teaching I can easily spot behaviour that isn’t right. Why can’t he make eye contact with the presenter? It's interesting that even fundamentalist Christian communities in America have a history of these kinds of conflicts with authorities. The Amish, having been established for over 200 years have won exemptions from many public and secular requirements, such as education, in long legal battles with the United States government. However, in the last decade they have begun to send some minors actually to Canada to avoid state forced medical procedures the families have believed to be unnecessary. Hasidic life, even in America, is extreme relative to secular life. But I have had them as neighbors and I have no problem with them. Life is hard for any woman in these communities as it is difficult to have babies year after year; but easier in a community than in a stand alone family. As for marrying age, I'm Italian and all my grand parents got married in their early teens. My grand fathers were working for a living at the age of 11 and 12. And we all remember Jerry Lee Lewis marrying his 13 year old cousin. Historically, people got married when they were able to work and have children; the sooner the better, because one did not have the same life expectancy as we enjoy now. I should not shock any informed person that these people do not recognize the State of Israel: they are pacifists and believe the promised restoration of the promised land has to be done by God, not the United Nations. They believe the existence of the State of Israel is actually delaying the true restoration of the promised land by God. It is interesting that Canada has a very deplorable history of assaulting ethnic and cultural groups, in particular Native Americans, through campaigns of removing children to abusive schools and orphanages. This has been well documented. But there are also laws in Canada that have criminalized any public statements critical of any details of the Holocaust. Even in Israel, orthodox rabbis now are being threatened with the draft, and the entire community there claims that Israel is no longer a religious state and they are all ready to go to prison if drafted. With all the terrible social problems we have, these people endure generation after generation; maybe with some problems of their own - but certainly not with the kind of problems the secular world accepts as being part of "freedom". I am very skeptical about the accusations about lack of cleanliness in the households, because Hasidic law is very detailed about these things. Everything is done according to the Torah, and how the house is cleaned is just as serious as the dietary rules. People forget that before the Vatican reforms, in a city like Chicago, which was predominantly Catholic, religious observance was extremely structured and visible, mass was in Latin, Nuns wore habits designed in the Middle Ages. It was hard to have much of a relationship with a Catholic, if you were a non Catholic, because their life was governed by a constant series of religious observances. On Ash Wednesday, all Catholics did have real ash on their foreheads. I suppose we would consider that extremist behavior now. But in the 50's, Catholic mayors, judges, police, everybody, had ash on their forehead on Ash Wednesday. They observed Lent, and they ate fish on Friday. We have forgotten that the United States was colonized by fundamentalists who were being burned at the stake in Europe as extremists and heretics. The only thing here that actually arouses my suspicion is the large amount of money this group has managed to accumulate. That is something would be interesting to investigate more thoroughly. But in general, Canada's record of treatment of non-Catholic minorities is not historically very good.

@@aimee-lynndonovan6077 That's not why the separation is essential. Whether a State knows the difference between right and wrong is independent from that separation. The separation is essential because if you have a State Religion, then all other religions are by definition illegal. It also automatically justifies wars with nations who have different State Religions. It's essential to separate decisions in a secular society from individuals' religious beliefs. While being free to worship, there has to be social and political intercourse which is secular. Otherwise, somebody's religious freedoms will be impinged on.

One of the things that's not really understood is that Jews are reluctant to bash other Jews via the secular authorities no matter how much they disagree with them, which is why other haredi rabbis weren't lining up to condemn this cult on television. In actuality, in the dati/frum communities, the Lev Tahor cult has been pretty roundly condemned by even the strictest authorities in Mea Shaarim and Bnei Brak for being too extreme in modesty to the detriment of women's health, and rabbi have forbid their students from marrying a Lev Tahor woman or joining the community. I live in Chatham, Kent UK - the original Chatham. This is very interesting. There is much in Judaism that is attractive - especially family life, but living a separate, isolated life puts people under suspician to the larger secular world. This programme raises deep questions about how much power the State should have over individuals and a family's children. To these Jews (males) learning the Torah and Talmud is the most important thing in life to learn and practice. Has the state the right to tell them not to and how to live? Has the State the right to tell them what is right and wrong and what is true? Has the State the right to force people to live with others unlike them? Ironically there is an accusation that the leaders have too much control, but what about the power and control the State has - to take away someone's children, to force children to attend schools and learn certain things. A lot of the concerns here come from lack of understanding of Judaism or from misunderstanding. Notice that accusations have not been proved in court. Notice that many of the criticisms here could easily be levelled against strict Muslim societies. But that won't be done - many Muslim countries have oil, these Jews do not. The rejection of Zionism by Hassidic Jews is common knowledge and understandable. Part of the reason for their isolationism is a reaction against the Holocaust and an attempt to maintain Jewish culture and survival. Should the State have the right to stop parents bringing their children up in their religion. An interesting programme raising many questions. wax

The guy at around 35:25 said women don't dress like that now in any Jewish community. That isn't true. A lot of Orthodox Christians all over the world dress like that. The children show no signs of abuse. They are well disciplined. The gov does not want any family living on their own with their own beliefs and life styles. And the age thing? My mom and dad married when my mom was 17. She had been with him a couple of years. He is 9 years older. They have been together for 45 years. And them being anti Zionist? What is wrong with that? They can believe the way they want. Gov needs to get out of people's lives. If those children aren't clearly being abused leave them alone. What CPS does is far more traumatic and abusive than the parents.
@mariahstarnes-martell18817 жыл бұрын
The guy is correct for the most part that there is no parrellel to any other Jewish community in how they dress. I only say for the most part because there is a small group of women in Israel who dress similarly. They kids may not show signs of abuse on camera but that does not mean they do not or have not been abused. Reports of abuse have been documented not only by former members but by the government when the kids who were briefly removed from their homes were looked over. As for the marriage at a young age, the problem is that girls younger than 16 (the legal age in most parts of North America) are being married off. While getting married at 17 is not the most common thing, it is legal with parental conscent. It is the fact that they are as young as 14 or 15 that is what they are getting in trouble for.

The stammering and finger pointing and claims of lies on the part of both the leader and his 2nd in command show unstable men bent on a mission to convince others of their opinion that they are a valid community of healthy well balanced people. That the children are safe and well educated. That marrying off a girl under 16 is acceptable. May God help those who can stop them and de-programme the members. The leader is obviously self indulgent at least in the way he over consumes food. Who knows what else he allows himself.

I do not understand why they are so hostile to the state of Israel. The OT prophets say in lots of places that Israel will be regathered from ALL NATIONS in which they've been scattered, so Scripture is not just referring to regathering from the Babylonian exile. It is speaking about the10 tribes, which Assyria exiled and the diaspora of the other two tribes in Roman times. As these people are so sincere about the Tanach, why can they not accept its teaching on the regathering of Israel, during the last century, as being the will of God, in preparation for the coming of Messiah, which they too are waiting for! How can they cast the words of Jeremiah behind their backs? Jer 30:10 "Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. Jer 30:11 "For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished." They must know that God uses what seems like natural means to achieve his will - like he did during the Assyrian, Babylonian and Roman exiles - so why wouldn't he use the same natural means to regather his people?

He is Modern Orthodox, which is far more liberal and allows practices that are outside strict Orthodox practice... this was a disingenuous move and this Rabbi made statements that were untrue and slanderous. The women of Lev Tahor do indeed dress like Jewish women did 200 years ago. It is the arab muslims that copied the dress of their Jewish contemporaries. The Modern Orthodox movement is at the same level as what the Conservative movement was 50 years ago. They are in no way representative of normative Orthodox Jewish religion.

The post by "Dean Edward" is not truthful. Apologists for this kind of (Jewish) cult, despite their putative objection to the Internet, do go online and persistently make this claim, that only their way is the One True Jewish Way and everyone else is "in no way representative of normative Orthodox Jewish religion." 16×9 did do their homework on this one, and Rabbi Poupko is a legitimate source for Orthodoxy questions. As to the garb of 200 years ago, we have historical records, that show that observant Jewish women did not wear chadors.* On what else is "Dean Edward" lying? *I recall a rabbi of 40 years ago telling my sixth-grade class that the Hasidic garb such as was seen in this video on the men was worn by the biblical Israelites that left Egypt and wandered the desert. Balderdash! I later learned how this garb has its origins in the aping of noble garb of eastern Europe in the 1720's when the Hasidic movement started. (Modern Hasidim are a movement different from one that arose in Hashmonean times. [Just for completeness.])

The interviewer did not identify him as an authority qualified to comment on the topic. She identified him as an Orthodox Rabbi. He is a Modern Orthodox Rabbi. This info is on public record. The reason that they would have used a Modern Orthodox rabbi rather than a normative Orthodox rabbi is that no worthy normative Orthodox rabbi would go on public record speaking negatively against a fellow Orthodox Jew, regardless of their mesorah. Obviously this Modern Orthodox rabbi seems to have no problem doing so, and so they misrepresented him as normative Orthodox despite his Modern Orthodox leanings.

+Oum Aima Do you seriously think that they would abuse their children in front of a camera? And respectfuly, nothing to do with religion, these people settle somewhere, abuse the local social infrastructures and refuse to respect and obey the laws and usages of the land. To me it is a clear admission of guilt if as soon as they are investigated they run instead of collaborating. Children are naturaly curious, stopping them from exploring the world around them and meeting new people is the most cruel punishment ever and a horrible abuse of the human rights of these children. It's their traditions you say? It's Canada I say and the laws for the protection of children apply to everyone, jews alike. I want to be clear, I do not hate jews or anyone for who they are but I have a BIG problem with what they do, how they behave, as much in Palestine, in Canada or anywhere else.

Roses and Songs You do not strike me as a bigot. You strike me as a thoughtful person. Is modern society better? 1. Is secular knowledge superior to religious knoeledge. Of what benefit is being able to evaluate English literature as opposed to evaluating the Book of Leviticus? 2. Do not for a minute think that in the material world there is no worship. In the material world people worship sex, drugs, money, power, etc. Is the lifestyle of the modern secular society superior to a so-called "cult?" 3. Is situational ethics and a "do-your-own-thing" society superior to moral rules that are firm and enduring? 4. Is gay marriage good for children who grow up with two daddies and two mommies appropriate? Should it be encouraged, subsidized, and aggrandized? They do not want any part of that secular world which they see as degenerate, godless, and morally deficient. Look at it from their point of view and not yours.

My comment was based on what I saw and what I heard from them and from other people... religious people are banned from everywhere not only from canada ... because these so called free countries are not actually free... ...You can be free only if you wear a bikini and follow secular lifestyle ... when you chose to follow different rules that does not hurt anyone like covering your body then you are a criminal. These people chose to live different it's their choice they can live the way they want... they are protecting their children from this world full of satanic people who worship their desires... We are different humain beings and we are not meant to live in the same way...

Oum Aïma Yes you are correct. I am a criminal defense attorney. I have represented people accused of abusing abandoning and neglecting their children. I've done about 100 such cases. These laws were designed to protect children from palpable and articulable abuse. Here we see the use of these laws as an ideological weapon of the State. They are looking hard to find abuse or neglect because they despise the lifestyle of these Lev Tahor people.

The reality is, if you want to live strictly according to the Torah, there is little use for a Rabbi. In fact, the justification in Judaism for Rabbis does not come from the Torah at all, but from Jeremiah 3:15 "...And I shall send you teachers after my own heart, who will give you knowledge and understanding."

I have similar thoughts like the rabbi, the true rabbi at the 35:00 minute mark, these people are more like a Muslim sect rather than a Jewish group. Also, why are they so much like the Amish??? This is what happens when man practices religious acts FOR the Lord rather than being relational with the Lord G-d Almighty who is a relational King! I mean really, were not Abraham called "My friend" (Isaiah 41:8); Jacob, the one who once wrestled with his brother in the womb and throughout his life, called the one who "wrestled with the Lord AND prevailed" (Genesis 32:22-32); and let me also mention the rich relational king, King David, who although flawed, was called "My friend" (2 Samuel 7) by El Elyon??? So where do these folks come up with all of these rules and crazy religious acts??? NONE of the patriarchs of Judaism were EVER subjected to such ways nor do we read of such acts committed by them in the sacred scriptures! Sick.

Yeah, I wish they would just go and convert to Islam; they might as well they hate all other Jews and Israel.
@Maria-hq6dh2 жыл бұрын
their beliefs don't align with islam at all, the only thing that is remotely similar is how the women dress, but even that isn't at the same level. muslim women that do wear a full covering only do so when leaving the house/in public. No one wears that at home and definitely not to sleep.

One leader in this video said they don't teach many secular subjects because they are busy teaching the children to be good people (i.e. Mussar, learning good character traits). I would rather my child be instilled with Mussar and later on Google things like Geography and History than the other way around, that's for sure!

Yes these people have taken religion and their ideologies to an extreme extreme level. But it seems as if everyone else has a problem with it except the people following it who seem to be perfectly fine.
