I would never have dave on a boat again he literally cried about everything all the other got there heads down an dug deep to pull threw all of sudden he went missing at the stern an was hanging of the boat yet no one seen him it's all lies i say he put him self there to go home as soon as he got back to port he's all smiles yet hes meant to be unstable hes a little girl an his little girl would do a better job

Brings back some good memories from the 60s fishing for swords at the end of the grand banks. I was doing research on mercury content after they ban that industry over the death of ONE woman who was eating swordfish 24/7. I was station at the St'Andrews marine biological station in NB. I still help while being bounced around, knife in hand, slipping and sliding,30 days out and 3 days in. sleep deprivation was part of being out there in the waves and rain... but a lot of good food. I loved every minute of it.

I think that Dave guy falling overboard is suspect. I find it incredible he was tossed by a big wave but still manages to hang on to the boats ladder. I think he just wanted to go home badly that he had to do some drastic scene or it may be scripted by the show to add drama. The captain would decide to head home anyway since she too is injured.

Yeah I agree he really is a big teddy bear I have nothing against the guy but I don't think he is cut out to be a sword fisherman but he gave it a good go.

She lost a part of her finger and had a crew member going thru a breakdown and yet she still kept up a professional and respectful attitude w/ her crew. I really admire her. I could so see her as a CEO for a big corporation; kicking butt and taking names but w/ class. :))

Why does "Chomps" always look at the camera when he starts going off on guys It's like he is looking for approval from the Camera guy or he is trying to show how tuff he is. I train hunting dogs and I use a radio call early in their training mostly when I am putting them afield. It emits a shock and a beep when I need it for behavioral corrections typically If you do it correctly the sound becomes enough to correct the behavior. It is about getting a dog to focus on you and your direction so eventually, as they mature no collar is needed it's not about punishment. Every now and then you will come across other trainers who brag that they "burn the dog up with the collar" this creates a relationship of fear between the dog and the handler. The dog only works on a level of anxiety it becomes so fearful that it's going to do something wrong that it shuts down entirely and the trainer will give the dog back to the owner and tells him the dog is no good and can't be trained. So I guess I am trying to say is that "Chompers" seems very much like one of those trainers he burns guys up as a Captain all his crew are dogs and he is the master. If you want respect as a Captain you treat people with respect and in the end, you create loyalty and a willingness for guys to go the extra mile for you it's a give and take relationship. It does not surprise me he has to find new crew every trip out.
