The game allows us to use the Thud for what it was designed to do; fly straight to the target zone faster than the speed of sound, dump more ordinance on it than a B-25 and zip out of there before they know what hit them. The horrific loss rate of thr 105s was because of stupidly planned missions, poor doctrine, and bad pilot training. It was a damn fine piece of hardware.

this is the best plane of its BR, plane and simple, it does it all, and works marvelously, it have an amazing acceleration making extremely easy a boom and zoom tactic, is like an AV-8 but faster and stronger, more bombs, more missiles, climb faster and can reach mach 1.5 without effort, have a vulcan gun and bombing computer, what's not to like, an unstopable beast in the right hands, a must have plane really in arcade, it becomes the number 1 target, because leaving it uncontested, can make you lose very easily, and only one can destroy all bases and main airport while making dive attacks to other planes then climb back with ease... a true widowmaker

I think the best loadout for base bombing is the 2x3000lb +8x750lb because its got less weight and u get more rp/sl with the 3000lbs per base compared to the 750lb

I very much agree, but I'm afraid that the amount of whining on the one hand and the number of people actually having an easy time grinding with this will cause Gaijin to nerf it hard with a BR and repair cost increase.

Nothing is more satisfying than killing jets in head-ons with the "Chief". A plane that dwarfs any other jet, and can still "Boogy Woogy" is terrifying.

@@maximilianob8321 Crazy how much it's changed in a year. It's miserable when you're 3 miles out from your target bases and run into a wall of A-10s, A-6 TRAMs, or any other all aspect IR slinger. There's quite literally nothing you can do except sacrifice pylons for rockets and pray they make for decent flares.

I'm around 40k out from the Thunderchief so I am psyched to get this chonky boy. I'm no fighter ace when it comes to War Thunder. So Ground Pounding is my trade and I was so happy to see this being added to the Bomber Tree. Re-installed the game after a year hiatus and had the B-57B. But MAN I hope Gajin adds all the fancy radar and computers onto the B-57B. It would make it a far more better vehicle to utilize than it currently is. Even more than the NASA rated B-57A.

Its another "end of a tree" plane so everything is X2.5 RP to unlock + its in the bomber tree, and comes after the free kill canberras, that hardly anyone plays now days, so its unlikely that I'm gonna look at it in the near future, leaving stuck with that awful A-4B as CAS even on 9.7 (maybe i try the F-100D)! Whit other nations (if it has) i prefer helicopters for CAS.

Absolute garbage now without airspawn. All you can do is hope enemies don't show up, or waste you life climbing and praying enemies don't climb, while waiting 10 minutes for bases to respawn since F4s with kill all the bases first.

I've been using it, you still get to targets before enemy fighters, you can bomb two bases and get back home if you play it safe. I think they may have nerfed the multiplier for SL and EP a few updates ago but it's still good. I killed 1 aircraft and blew up two bases and got 12k ep and 34k SL with premium

Not even lol F4c is garbage compared to planes like the mig21mf. AV8 is pretty good becaause of its aim9g but it overheats fast and isn't as fast as other planes. F105 is basically comparable to the f100. 10.0 would be pushing it.

It is worth the grind if you are rich because of the repair cost, but if you have a hell of a lot of GE to spare, then go right ahead and spade it right there, it's fun for high alt bombing with the 2 drops of 3000 pounders, and the 17 (or 16? Maybe 18?) 750 pounders, but if it wasn't for the repair cost (as stated before) I'd play it all the time in ground rb and sometimes in air

Fuck No! I just finished spading it as a general rule of thumb you have to avoid Su25's if your ever within 2.5km your fucked there's next to zero chance of dodging an R60. I mean it's managable if your somewhat of a sadist you should avoid losing altitude and speed at all costs, the 16 750pd bombs will net you two bases with 2 bombs to spare, don't really see any point taking missiles {aim9 E's are fine you can shit on stuff like the mig 21s and Su7's but your more than likely going to eat a missile lining up a good launch angle more often than not....don't ever try the aim9 B's :(}

@@ricolives1166 yeah I changed my mind it's a decent grinder there's just too much compression at that BR, It's not much but you can use the AIM9E's as standoff counters to all aspect missiles in a head-on this also has the added benefit of generation high amounts of salt from players expecting an easy kill....and it looks cinematic as fuck.

Gaijin has increased the speed at least 100kph since you made this video. It is now over 2200 kph. The J35A and maybe one or two other planes can chase it. No other planes will be able to catch the F105 D, In addition, Chafe and flares as a mix are now included. Carrying counter measures drops your bomb load from 16 to 14 750s. I only fly in SIM. In SIM even with a heavy bomb load on and countermeasures, the plane does not feel too heavy. It is easy to fly. Listening to your video, it is only logical that a heavy strike plane does not fly like a Zero. Years ago, there was this KZbin content creator who flew in RB only, and would always take something out that was a strike plane and then complain at how it did not handle like a Zero. I finally got frustrated with this every video and unsubscribed. It is only logical you adjust your game play to the type of plane you are flying. Seems rational to me.
