it's not about the overall finished look drugstore or high-end will all look the same at the end it's about how it wears throughout the day and that's the difference. My photo Revlon concealer is the best I have ever tried I have very high-end makeup on my concealer will never change Revlon and Maybelline are to really really great drugstore makeup lines and for covergirl they make one really great product called GC smoother which is a BB cream that is absolutely amazing but in my opinion all the covergirl concealer do not match up to Revlon

@Christine .K Great let me know how you like it. I'm 69 with dry skin and never can find a foundation that doesn't settle in my forehead or under eyes where most of my wrinkles are. Between foundation and concealer within an hour it's all settle into creases.

Those colours look great, and yes I am inclined to agree with you that foundation is a must it doesn't feel heavy like some brands and does give you full coverage. I also like the idea of using concealer as an eyeshadow primer I will definitely be trying that, so yes I am impressed you look absolutely amazing. X

I bought the NYX Ultimate Shadow Pallette in Warm Neutrals and I love all the colors. The pigment is really nice and it lasts all day. I also bought the L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Fresh Wear Foundation in color #430, it gives great coverage and also lasts all day. Thank you Dominique!

Your videos always leave me inspired to try new things!! I've been using Infallible Matte foundation for years and have two different shades, one for summer and one for winter and at times mix the two. If you have healthy glowing skin it won't matter if it's drugstore or Highend products, you will look great. Its all about whats underneath! And you look fabulous in both!!

I’ve used drugstore brands for 40 years with occasional excursions into designer brands. Always return to the drugstore brands, just can’t bring myself to pay ridiculous prices for tinted mica and talc( powdered rock).

Beautiful! Many of the drugstore brands' product lines started out in department stores. As the companies develop newer products, they retire the old department store line and re-package/remarket to the drugstores...so yes, these retired products are the same as the ones that used to be in department stores. At least this is what a L'Oreal executive told me, and I believe him!

Firstly, I appreciate that when you say all you have on is moisturizer, you are actually being truthful. I find it so comical when I hear that from other tutorials and you can actually see the eye-shadow creases on their lids and concealer lines! Secondly, I just happened upon Loreal Infallible and LOVE it, also! I feel that whether you use "drugstore" or high-end, what's really important is being able to apply things correctly. I love that foundation. It performs well in hot/humid Alabama weather. Milani makes a great eyeshadow primer and L’Oréal infallible is the newest greatest concealer.

Thank you! I loved this video and picked up a few budget friendly tips! I use these brands because I’m on a budget. Another one I’d like to share is the under eye color corrector by nyx in medium. I have a very blue/purple under eye tone and this product, which is a soft coral shade really does the trick to neutralize that! It’s better than anything else I’ve tried thus far. Blends well with other concealer and/or foundation and stays out of lines for the most part! Just thought I’d share this one for any ladies like me who struggle with dark circles and dark pigmentation around the eyes. Thanks for letting me share!

Love your application and although I have worn the same foundation for years (and have some in the fridge in case they discontinue it!) you’ve convinced me to try this one! Thank you! That e.l.f. Soft Luminance powder is my absolute favorite powder. It never looks heavy or cakey on me. I never makes me look dry either. After I spray with setting spray my base makeup lasts 12+ hours for work and kids. Thank you so much for doing this. I feel the drugstore gets a bad rap. I love the drugstore. I have to be on a budget and most products that I purchase work out for me.

Walmart now carries NYX!!! I have their matte foundation powder, blush, and highlighter! LOVE them. Mac dual powder made my skin itch, I had even moisturized very well.

I have found that sometimes the low end products do not last as long as the expensive brands, so you have to keep track of how many months before you have to replace them. These videos are a god send on those with a tight budget. Thank You Dominique!

Great tutorial! I couldn't agree more about drugstore cosmetics - my makeup kit is a "mixed bag" but lots of drugstore brands. I used to work in the cosmetics industry and the expensive brands are nonsense - you're paying for fancy packaging, endorsements and advertising - the ingredients (and even manufacturers) are the same. I'd highly recommend the Maybelline Master Conceal concealer (which I also use as an eye shadow primer). Angie (Hot & Flashy) did an exhaustive review of concealers and this one was top rated for the price. Where I do spend is on BRUSHES - they are the most important thing but they last virtually forever. Thanks Dominque!

ELF products are made in China, but since the brand does not sell in physical stores in China they are able to manufacture there without being impacted by any of the animal testing laws that exist in China

You are so gorgeous you could wear any makeup and look good, lol! My biggest question is does the drug store makeup cause you to break-out or cause any type of skin irritation??? That would be my biggest concern, I have such sensitive skin that the lower end products sometimes make my skin red and itchy, and some cause my eyelids so swell and become tender. I wonder if you could do a follow-up video and let us know if you had any negative skin reactions to the makeup, that would be great!! Im very interested in the foundation, just curious if you encountered any problems from wearing it all day?? Thanks for you informative video, always look forward to Thursdays!!
