Hi, I have a huge problem regarding my under eye area! I'm 22 and in the last year or so i have had swelling under my eyes, i don't think i have dark circles it looks more swollen. I am so insecure about it that it is destroying my social life :( I'm a male too, I have no idea were to start with make up. I'm so embarrassed to go in to a store and talk to someone about it too

Dan // Well Dan, you may think you have swollen eyes but they're actually not they're puffy and before you got sleep at night time you can apply eye cream or cold pressed almond oil which can help with reducing it, also you can go to your local doctors and talk to them about it and they will definitely help you.

I can't stand having under eye bags/dark circles.. It's a curse! I have been dealing with it since I was in elementary school, I'm 25 now and nothing ever helps. People ask me the same thing if I have no makeup on or my under eyes aren't hidden well lol it's like a slap in the face. I wouldn't even mind going bare faced if it wasn't for my eyes 😕

I understand what you mean completely! Girls at school will constantly tell me like "Oh you have beautiful skin, like why do you even wear makeup!?" and it's not that I don't love not wearing makeup, because I do, it's just that I feel embarrassed and unconfident when I don't have my dark undereyes concealed. I also have dark hereditary circles and have had to use concealer since I was in 6th grade! I wear it every day and would NEVER leave the house without it. I am so happy to see someone on KZbin with REAL dark circles and not just that faint little barely there shadow that most girls on here try to pass off as "horrible dark circles." Please continue to try out all the new concealers that come on the market as I have the same skin tone as you, use the same shades as you, and it would be helpful to see you try the new ones out and see what works and what doesn't. I am still searching for the holy grail of concealers even though I have tried literally every one on the market today and nothing seems to do the trick. Unfortunately I have a problem that you don't have ... I am an older woman and I have lines under my eyes and concealers seem to emphasize that, and also give me that crape-y skin under the eye, and cake up. Setting powder makes it even worse.

I find beauty blender takes away the concealer for me. I use my fingers to pat in corrector, do my eye makeup, then finger pat in concealer. Let dry for a few secs then set with loose powder. 😊

Finally a person/youtuber using concealer under the foundation and then using it on top of it again..! I feel THIS is the way everyone should be doing it... There really shouldn’t be any other way. But it’s soooo rare to see people do this. I learnt this technique from a Sephora video few months ago, and honestly, my dark circles cover game is somehing else now!! I use the same sequence as you have shown... and I loooove the result! Every single time! Another trick I do in addition to this (which also I picked up from the Sephora video) is to use a lighter concealer just at the depressions... to basically bring them forward and cancel out the sullen shadows. So basically you use two shades of concealer- one matching your skin tone and another slightly lighter to highlight just at the depressions of your under eyes. Your video is by far THE BEST "how to" for concealing under-eye circles!!! Looking at your eyes was like looking in a mirror. Girrrl, all my life (thanks genetics) I've lived with SEVERE dark circles. I remember in high school ppl would ask if I was sick or just unwell. 😭 And then I was like, "NO, I'M FINE. Thank you! I needed some help with this. I've always had dark circles but now that I have "mature" skin🙄 (I'm 41) it's like everything seems magnified. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you apply your makeup a bit differently than most you tubers. It kinda shows that we are not all the same and we need to find what works for us. I will say that I may actually copy the way you apply-applying the corrector and concealer the way you do and then your foundation around the perimeter...just may work for me! Love it! I too have struggled with my hereditary dark circles to the point that I've let it get to me and ruin my self confidence and sometimes gave up on make up bc ive tried alot and dont ever get the result I'm looking for. I've seen alot of KZbin videos including some famous you tubers but none have the hereditary dark circles so they don't "get it". They say "dark circles" but it's more like redness. I've used the UD peach color corrector and find that's maybe one of the few that help minimize it but never used as much product as you did so maybe I'll try that. Just a note, that top of the lip is a “cupid’s bow!” A “widow’s peak” is what some people have at the center of their hairline that dips down like the center of a heart! Just saying! I love how you hid your dark circles...and considering the many products applied to your face...it looks natural! Great channel!

I have deep set eyes and thin skin under my eyes, I usually wear almost no make up but I can't leave the house without concealer under my eyes. My everyday concealer does well enough but haven't figured out how to do it nicely with a full face so I am glad I found this even if it is 3+ years old now.

Yes, mine are genetic as well and I tend to have that slight discoloration over my lip too, even after waxing. I love the master conceal and use the same color as you but never use a corrector. I'll have to try the naked skin peach shade. I like the naked skin concealer for highlighting but it doesn't cover the dark circles. Just subscribed, keep up the good work!

Hi there your under eye circles look just like mine! And mine are hereditary as well. So happy to see someone who has the same issue as me I thought I was alone. I’ve been doing my makeup just like you have been. The issue I have is I’m getting dark smudges under my eye from my mascara. I use urban decay perversion. Have you had this issue? I see the Naked corrector comes in pink as well - as a VERY fair person, would that be better than the peach? I have used the peach and sometimes find my eye area has a bit of an orange tint. Not sure if I should try the pink or stick with the peach and put heavier concealer over the top...

I totally see myself in you. I have the same hereditary super dark under eye circles and they used to be such a problem to me. They made me feel ugly and lacking self confidence, and I didn't know I could do something about them! When I was a teenager I couldn't understand why eye make up didn't look good on me (I thought foundation was heavy and I had no idea concealers existed!). People would ask all the time if I was sleeping well and telling me I looked tired (or worse, mean people would tell my I looked like someone punched me in the eyes, which made me feel awful, of course). Then I found about concealers when I was about 18 (I'm 28 now) and I can't live without. KZbin tutorials really helped me to up my make up game and now I don't leave the house with at least concealer on. Currently I'm doing my foundation first and concealer after, because I find this way I can blend the concealer better and only apply the right amount to hide the dark circles otherwise it can look heavy, cakey and unnatural. If I have a no-makeup day I just apply the concealer on the dark areas, blend and then set with powder.

I have very very very dark under eyes, and even if I prime them after a few hours all the product just fades away, lately I've been using the Tarte concealer and works a little bit better. I used the MAC for the longest time, but as I said it always faded away. I really liked your video.
