Went with the IXS TRIGGER FF. It’s unreal. So light. 660grams M/L. 22 vents. So much air flow. Feels so comfortable. Worth every dollar spend.

Hi, the mips version? Have you tried how safe is it? (Hope not, but there are no crash test about it)

Bought one online, myself. I have a 58.5cm head, so bought S/M. It was alien-ly light, remarkable work. Fit like a glove. However sent it back as it didn't come down enough at the back, only covering the top 1/3 of the back of my head. That's due to my head-shape, I still give it an easy 9/10. If it had MIPS Spherical I'd give it 10/10. So, 9/10 is what I give it.

I have it, it better than ixs trigger FF and gambit from Specialized. Also slimmer by 1.5cm in total from left to right

Nice video, I do reckon you push the gin bar a bit upwards to cover your mouth, that's they way they are supposed to fit. I would say some of them should even cover the nose.

The way you see it on the thumbnail for this video (chin bar pointed down slightly) is actually the way TLD shows it is designed to fit on the very instructions that came with it.

The thing i hate about the stage and the reason i sent mine back, the cheek pads are too far back and sit on the ears a bit and it also makes it really easy to rotate the helmet without any resistance from them to the point where the chin bar will hit your face before the pads protect you.

Hmmm. Helmet fit is definitely different for different folks, but this has not been my experience at all. In fact, I'd say that the Stage is one of the more snug full face helmets I've ever ran. I'm still wearing mine daily.

You got a size too large. that's all.

I’m returning mine as well. My face seems to exposed idk.

My experience is that you can simply turn the cheekpads by 180°. The your earlobes are free and the helmet is even more comfortable.

What size of your helmet and what is the size of your head. I bought one my measure and 57 I sinned but I think it's a little small

Can u make long run with many uphill/ tech downhill with the stage? Im hesitate between the trigger and the bell super air..

I've been doing just that all fall, winter and spring. When temps get above 75F this summer with high humidity, I'll probably find myself still wanting to take it off for long, non-technical climbs. But short answer is yes, you definitely can, but it will be warmer than a 1/2 shell.

@@DrJMTB I've used this helm in 100+ temperatures out here in the Las Vegas Desert - for 22 Mile ride. Kept me cool entire time. For summer, I combine this helm with a Balaclava to protect against the sun.

@@alexunlv I've ridden in the desert many times and while it is definitely a scorching heat you have,, the humidity of the southeast is what really makes wearing any full face tough when the temps creep into the upper 70s and 80s in my humble opinion. The TLD Stage definitely makes it more tolerable.

@@alexunlv im i guess new to MTB im also in Vegas and im debating hard between a full face and a half face but i reallly think the full face is the way to go given the rocky trails here kn the dessert. Thoughts? Thanks ... Also thanks Dr. J MTB

@@tlalok08 Despite the heat, you can't beat the increased confidence of having a full face. You can always pick up a 1/2 shell later.

Troy lee stage helmet is a brittle piece of rubbish. Beware this helmet is not for dh or enduro my chin bar broke into 3 after being knocked from sitting on top of my head as i bent down to walk under some bunting. thats a height of about waist high so how the hell is this rubbish going to protect your head in a crash

My face seems exposed as well as my mouth. head is 57cm I got the m/l and it seems small. I’m returning
