I’m in high school, and I need to get to school quickly and need to put on quick makeup because I’m not one of those people that can get up in the morning and be beautiful enough without it. Brushes take to long to get out and put up. Blush is the only thing I use a brush for and the brush is out all the time. I just put a good amount of concealer around my eyes, some shimmery skin color eyeshadow, mascara, some highlighter, and then blush. That’s my school makeup routine.

I don't follow any other beauty KZbinr even when my face/skin type is similar to them, and I have quite the opposite of your facial features (hooded & small eyelids, warm skin undertone, etc) but the way that you explain the logic behind applying makeup that would make sense to your own features helps me understand my own face so much better. something about using your hands for makeup makes it so effortless. its why i use glossier/cream products bc i look so good on zoom meetings and in real life. quarantine really got me to dial back the high coverage makeup and opt for more "natural" and katie jane hughes type beat

Yes Alex I agree I am more combo-oily and I do better with hydrating products than with super drying or matte foundations, usually. So I started doing the Wayne boss technique because of you and I LOVED it. Like it’s so simple! Dry under eyes?, put a lot of moisturizer! Lol the one thing I wanted to mention was something I struggle with when I put on my sunscreen. I don’t want to AVOID putting sunscreen on my under eyes especially because that area is so thin, I think it needs the sunscreen but at the same time I don’t want to “move around” the moisturizer that I placed. Soooooo what I have been doing is moisturize like you did, let it sit on my skin for a while, even tho it sinks into my skin a little, that area is still hydrated. Then after I wait a little, I put on my sunscreen and NOT AVOID the under eyes. I let the sunscreen set or dry, (I’m not sure the correct term for this) and then I put a little more moisturizer on the under eyes and then proceed with my makeup. So moisturize....wait...sunscreen...wait...moisturizer...makeup. Also my sunscreen is hydrating and find it’s a good primer as well.

I use homemade tinted moisturizer, lol, for my “glowy” naturally dry skin all the time. I take my old Nivea Soft moisturizer and put some of my foundation in it and mix and then put the tiniest bit of concealer to highlight after that all sets. Then I use highlighter to achieve more glowy skin. I use a tan highlighter, and I use it for quick natural eyeshadow for school cause it’s easy to not have to dig out multiple products.

I love to apply foundation & cream products with my hands. With most foundation I have to use my hands because using beauty tool the foundation always looks weird, looks heavy, it cracks and breaks up idk why it’s just my skin so I’ve been using my hands with the warm hand to face contact the makeup just melts into my skin and looks hella flawless. But if I need more coverage I’ll use a warm damp beauty sponge n apply extra foundation where I need it the most. It’s a whole thing. The regular Wetnwild foundation I have to use my hands🥰🤷🏽♀️
