I have 2 tips to share. Using a lash curler actually really helps. I don't mess with false lashes, but taking the time to crimp my lashes does actually make my eyes look more awake. Second, ever since I turned 40, I've been noticing a decreased volume in my lips. I have no interest in lip filler so I've been playing with slightly overlining the top of my Cupid's bow, and it really does give the illusion of fullness. Makes me feel like I have juicy young lips again!😄

I know the Revlon one at the drugstore is the worst one for me With my small eyes I need to use either Shiseido or surratt. I know Emily likes the tweezerman one. You just have to find one that works for you

I got Tweezerman when EMILY was using it but when she started using Shishedo I got that one and it is good. Try using that one and I bet you don’t pinch yourself anymore. I used to pinch my eye lid with the Revlon one.

Something I found years ago, is do your lips first. If I do blush first I find I apply too much. But if I do lips first then it's easier to get the right amount of blush. 'Cause we all know how difficult it is to remove blush if applied to heavily! Love to you and yours!❤

Thanks for these great tips Em and what a fun video, as always! I love to hear the door open knowing a kitten has entered the scene. One tip that I find always makes a difference for me is taking a small brush and swooping in an upward motion some lighter powder that has a bit of coverage at the outer corner of my eye. Awesome video! Pretty look!! One tip I learned from Makeup by Sarah for helping the under eye concealer to not crease even with setting powder is to very lightly mist a setting spray on a fluffy eyeshadow brush and tap it on the under eye area. I think it makes a big difference on my 69 yr old skin.

I recently watched a foundation tutorial and was reminded of a tip that I think originally came from Wayne Goss: after primer (if you use one) apply a loose powder then a setting spray before foundation. It was actually shown on mature skin and WOW. It works for me, my foundation, even the ones I already loved, look even better! I use less, if any, powder to set my makeup and it stays all day.

It's also counterintuitive that there are 60 year olds with oily skin but we exist. Add in when you live in a very humid clime. fighting against looking greasy is a constant battle. @@theresas2520 I used a loose powder and very little (Loreal Hydra Perfect ❤️). I think the key is make sure skincare is fully absorbed which I do anyway bc I wait for my sunscreen to dry/absorb - I think 15 minutes is the recommended time but I can't always wait that long - even 5 to 10 minutes works for me. Then let the setting spray (I've tried it with Mac Fix Plus and the Believe Beauty Setting spray) completely dry too. I do my eyebrows which is sufficient time. Like everything else, though, what works for some doesn't work for others! I do think product mix is key so play around with it if you want to - or skip it. I find it easy to work into my routine but if I didn't I'd just do whatever worked for me!

Love the concept of this video. My tips to elevate my make-up are: 1: After powdering & contouring, I go back in with my powder brush & buff over all the contour. It makes everything melt together better & erases any harsh lines. 2. Similar, but I always brush through my brows after filling them in for the same reasons. 3. A brown or black eyeliner in the top waterline only makes the lashes appear thicker. Use an eyeliner that doesn't transfer to the bottom. 4. When I need to elevate my eye makeup I simply use more shades. For example on a daily basis I may use 3 brown shades on my eye, on an elevated day I will use 6 or 7 brown shades. Adds more depth, looks more professional. 5. A shimmery, champange sort of colour on the lid is so quick & easy yet takes it to the next level. 6. Lipgloss. Everyone should wear lipgloss. It looks good on everyone. It makes your lips look healthy & youthful. Even when I'm not wearing makeup, lip gloss or a tinted lip balm, always. 7. I always incorporate my blush and/or my contour into other areas of the face. For example I may put my contour shade in the crease of my eye, & I may put some blush on the top of my forehead & chin. It seems to create a more natural & believable look when the shade is appearing in multiple places on the face, not just striped onto the cheek. Looks more cohesive.

If anyone has down turned eyes or eyes that are hollow toward the outer corner using a brightening color corrector at the outer corner gives the eyes a lift and helps disguise hollowness. I have both. It's hard to explain but if you have it you know what I'm talking about. From the lower lash line up to my brow tail I have a hollow which emphasizes the down turn of my eyes. Anyway I got this tio from Jen Phelps and it's amazing how much difference it makes.

One of the best tips that I've gotten from you about doing my brows was to take my eyebrow gel and Sweet my brows down first and then sweep them back up and then in the direction I want them so that the brows are actually coated with the brownfix. It's been a game changer as far as keeping my brows in place. So thank you ❤️

I already watched this on my tv, but I’m coming back to you the morning of a wedding so my makeup can look the best it can! 😅 I’m using the Cheek the Mail palette (which is how I found your channel) and the urban decay vice lip bond in PDA which is actually pretty similar to Terra. Yay for accidentally matching! Now to find something to do with my hair… 😬

I have tried the Becca corrector so many times with different concealers but it always makes the concealer ball up.

First and foremost, the Bobbi Brown stick is a million times better than the Becca. I paid full price, and I would do it again! I never pay full price for makeup ;) Secondly, the only way I could get the Becca to be okay was to barely press my fingertip in the jar, then lightly press it on my dark corners. Even slightly too much made it look bad. I don't know how people use so much of it!

Ive never used a color corrector or a puff. Thank you for doing this video! I spend so much time on my face makeup and then by the end of the day it just doesn't look good at all. I'm trying all of your tips.

Great tips. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the tips we usually don’t think about when we are in auto mode which we so often are in getting ready. I’m going to try to take a few extra minutes to look at these things as well. It’s the little things sometimes that really make a difference 💕

That’s wonderful that your daughter got a shout out over the announcement. What a proud moment. Thanks for doing this video because sometimes I forget why my makeup looks better some days then others. I to was going to mention that about when your filming and the kitten comes into the room it’s almost like the ghost 👻 entering the room. I don’t either think about the lipstick 💄 matching my blush.

Great video as always Emily! I actually wear corrector an not concealer at times. i wear glasses and the dark circle shows more than need for brightening IMO.

My dark circles arent that dark, but sometimes concealer isnt enough. I dont have a corrector so i put an illuminator instead before going in with my concealer. Really helps brighten and makes the light bounce off my circles really nicely! Learned this from a pro!

Happy Saturday, Emily and other Beauties! Peach for a concealer seems to have wonderful corrective tones. 😊I have fair, reflective skin and dark circles, so I find that skipping eyeliner on the bottom is more brightening for me. Because of my super sensitive eyes, I also skip lower lash mascara. I love that tip about highlighting the lower inner rim, but my eyes tear up too much to wear it there. Ah, the struggles of sensitive eyes... lol

I was in a major crunch yesterday, and did not even have two minutes to do anything to my face, so I literally only did mascara then in the car later I put on MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick… and I dabbed some of it on as quick blush….it was stunning! I was shocked!!! So I guess that’s my tip. 😂

I’ve started using the cover girl lash blast (I think it’s called) lash primer, the one in the whole tube. It does so much for my lashes! It make me love my fav mascara even more! Definitely worth the extra time to apply P.s: this was a recommendation from you from a video of tips from other viewers 😁 awesome video!

Great video! I take a small tipped brush and clean up around my lip line to make it super precise. Using the ABH pencil you have would work. Then blend out with a flat brush. Also a little contour under the bottom lip to give you more a pout AND a super gloss with some shimmer, middle of bottom lip .. also makes it more pouty 💋

i actually do my contour, bronzer, and blush all first, then a light layer of foundation to cover, then highlight on top. it always makes it looks like it's from within

Thank you for loving on the Bobbie Brown Stick Corrector! I love that product so much! Even more than the pot version because the stick means I don’t have to constantly dip my finger or a brush in! I just purchased that mini cream blush trio from LYS and I am so excited to try the formula! I love the holiday season for the sets we get! Minis might not always be the greatest value but I don’t always finish products like blushes up so I feel better purchasing mini sizes of products! Sending love and fall vibes 🎃

Thanks!! I have a Rimmel match perfection concealer that matches my skin perfectly, so aive been using it (with the little brush that comes with it) to line outside of my lipstick as cleanup when I wear a red or a vampy color.
