Do you follow the lipstick Lesbians here? The main lady worked in the beauty industry for ages. She said a good way to test if a concealer will crease or not is to test it on the pillow of your palm. The fleshy part under your thumb. She says that mimics how your under creases. If a concealer sits poorly in the fine lines of your palm it will sit poorly under your eyes. She also says creasing is inevitable because our faces move but how badly does it crease is the issue. I have been doing this and it has changed the game. It has helped me find the right formula that works for me and what I like.

I absolutely ADORE the Bourjois blushers !! I’m actually Asian (born and raised) and since they don’t sell in Asia I have no way of getting my hands on anything from them. My mum was in Paris and picked up some stuff from them back in 2012 and I kid you not, I *still* use it. The one bourjois blush I own is genuinely my favourite, even against the likes of huda beauty and charlotte tilbury, and it never seems to run out lol I took it from my mum in 2020 when I started out with makeup and it’s still going on so strong ! Bourjois is seriously such an underrated brand. P.S. I use the brush that comes with it, it’s actually really useful and so cute !

The lack of eyeshadow and highlighters in shops is a sign of the trend cycle. For years my mum complained that you couldn’t find cream blush anywhere and now it’s trendy again it’s everywhere. There’s only so much space in Boots shops so they just put out the items most likely to sell. Eyeshadows have become less popular since the late teens craze. It sucks for us oldies who have developed our tastes when something we rely on gets discontinued. I’m still sore over No.7 discontinuing my favourite lipstick shade in about 1996.

I’m going makeup shopping soon for upcoming concerts and i didn’t know what drugstore bronzer to get! This video is so helpful, thank you!! You’re literally my comfort KZbinr Soph! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 also! my “everyday makeup” go to drugstore eyeshadow palette is the Lottie London “the rose golds” mini palette! It loses a bit of pigment after SEVERAL hours but it lasts really well (like maybe 10hr?) with setting spray !!! :)

That elf Cooling Stick is a dupe for the Milk Makeup Cooling Stick. I have the Milk one and i find it very refreshing on my under eyes and on my enlarged pores!

The L'oreal infallible freshwear 32 hour freshwear foundation is my favourite. Looks like they changed the packaging again but it's been my holy grail!! I wore it to my brothers wedding as maid of Honour and omg it lasted all day and night. No touch ups. Wore it for about 14 hours and still looked flawless!! I wear the shade 130 true beige which is light neutral. 💝💝

My favourite eyeshadow palette is the Nyx Ultimate shadow palette. It has 16 neutral colours with both matte and shimmer. They have nice pigment and blend really well 😊

It’s always a pick me up when a new Soph video drops! The mascara from elf is a tubing mascara, so I guess that’s why it didn’t layered well, and also why it didn’t smudge! I love the pink shade in the nyx concealer for my under eyes! I find the concealers work way better under the eyes than on the face.

I had one of the corrector sticks to use for my dark circles but they were too drying for my eyes and looked cakey :( I felt that liquid products work much better under my eyes, although I did buy the new NARS under eye color corrector and that feels much better. I like how that one melts on my fingers and feels creamy when I put it on.

The elf mascara is a tubing mascara I recently purchased as I’m lazy so have used tubing mascaras for years and they are not cheap so it’s great to have a cheaper version out there. Bit harder to remove than the hourglass or tarte one . ❤

Can you try and spray first with the matte one, then the glowy one?? Because if it's oil that makes it glowy, it might react to the spray underneath and not secure it anyway. Just for people that want the glow, but also longevity 🥰

I’ve recently tried the boots 17 powder plush and it’s a beautiful pink colour and it’s matte so it’s good for putting blush around my nose as I hate sparkly blush on my nose because it’s bigger so I don’t like to enhance that

Hi Soph. Can you still use the elf power grip if you have an oily T zone, but you bake it with lots of powder? I just want to add some glow back to my face because when it’s all set it looks kinda dusty (that’s the closest word I can find to describe it) but I also need my makeup to stay without smudging. I think Milk had a primer stick like this years ago. Btw would love to see you try the Profusion 2 in 1 foundation, it’s new and is so underrated. For UK loose powders, the Rimmel Lasting Perfection and the NYX can’t stop won’t stop are super smoothing, but if you want a more Huda Beauty style, the the Wet n Wild Photofocus is phenomenal.

The bourjois blush is actually a really good alternative to the Huda blush that’s being discontinued 😞 I had an old one and was swatching it to see if it even had pigment etc still. It immediately reminded me of my Huda blush. I compared the two and they are not identical in formula but a good close comparison. They look no different on the cheek and the lasting power is the same.
