Damn that foundation is yellow! I have super cool toned, pink skin and it’s really hard to find drugstore foundations that aren’t yellow. I do own a blue color additive that I have sometimes used to correct yellow foundations. It’s by LA Girl and it works pretty well!

hi V, 1st time viewer here. I just wanted to share a few NYX related tidbits w/you & your audience bcz i'm super curious 2 see if you or your viewers can relate. in Aug. 2021 i bought this exact NYX palette for about $11 from NYX's online Amazon store. i found their shimmer-y shades to be lackluster & dull. wetting my brush only made the shimmer shadows crumbly + chunky and greatly enhanced ANY lid texture...but to be fair, that's typical with many shimmer shadow formulas. thankfully, the mattes performed better than the shimmers in that they blended pretty well & did not spot fade or flake away. they felt well pigmented and, w/a bit of skill & elbow grease, blended smoothly & layered well with other mattes...which, btw, was quite a happy surprise !! even so, the fact that you paid about 60% MORE what i paid for a poorly pigmented, poorly designed, poorly named & poorly performing NYX product is very sad. i might be wrong about this but to me it casually illustrates what i've been suspecting to be true for the past year or so. NYX's been steadily increasing their price points in the hopes of being thought of as a high(er) end drugstore brand that makes their products available online or in brick & mortar drugstore locations. tbh, i'm all for the up-marketing products & up-scaling brands. however, that goal will remain impossible to achieve if raising the quality, performance & lasting power of their eye shadow formulations is NOT also a big part of that goal. btw, i wanted to mention that i have tried some of NYX's "artistry" & "pro palettes" too. my personal experience tells me that NYX's eye shadow formulas seem to change quite often which, imho, gives their eye palettes a "Hit or Miss" reputation. i've learned to always keep my original receipt whenever purchasing NYX shadows AND i've now made it a habit of checking a store's return policy to be sure that make up can be returned for a full refund if the customer is not 100% satisfied after use. i'd be so curious to read what your (or your viewers') overall experience is with NYX palettes. You can usually get the palettes for $10-12 on Amazon. The Warm Neutrals in particular goes on sale a lot and they've also repackaged it several times. That price point makes more sense to me.

Also, for the Nyx bronzer, the nyx website seems to suggest that the medium shade has that yellow undertone you are looking for(I like that type of color as well) But, the bronzers by the brand beauty bay seem promising, esp the colors.

💕💕I have to say I am not a huge fan of NYX. They are so hit and miss. I am so glad that pretty much everything worked out for you. The Marshmallow primer was so terrible for me, and same for the foundation. It emphasized every dry patch I had, and all my pores. The eyeshadow palette was so disappointing, and way too pricey. I do enjoy their lip liners, eye liners, and their priming spray. Great video! Happy New Year! 🎄🎄

💕💕💕 hi vianney I never lost faith in you making that shade work, your look turned out stunning and beautiful as always! I questioned whether this foundation would work for me having dry skin but maybe it might work for me with the right primer. I agree with nyx being too high on their prices given their products are usually good but like you said there are other products that perform the same if not sometimes even better and they are able to keep their prices down. I feel like that eyeshadow palette was too expensive for what it was, and I feel like they are getting to be a bit greedy on their prices like who do they think they are 😂😂 js lol...did you already do the loreal balm foundation, or the new Rimmel gel and whipped foundation jars... They kind of remind me of the old Revlon foundation full coverage whipped foundation. I wonder how they would perform on dry mature skin?

I bought medium in the matte bronzer and it's nice and warmed toned on me. I'd say we're similar in skin tone. I've also tried the born to glow foundation in beige and it was too golden on me. So idk what shade to get in their foundations.

I agree on the matte bronzer. Similar skin tone & medium is a great all over bronze (I wouldn’t use it to contour but it’s perfect to warm up the whole face and pull color down to your neck to even things out).
