These are one of my fav videos that ppl do where they show how they REALLY do their makeup when they're not filming cuz I feel that anyone who has more experience with makeup have unconventional and even almost unusual methods in their makeup routine but they're genius and we could learn a lot. I love how applying makeup is so personal and that u have to do hacks and methods that work FOR YOU even if that's not how most ppl typically will apply it. I have some weird methods and nontraditional order of doing my makeup but it works for me 💃

If you were sitting across from me right now and seeing my reactions, you’d probably be asking me, “What? What?!” because I’m smiling about your powder technique. In my day (I’m old), we always used a puff to apply powder. We had fluffy round ones. It was a theatre MUA who taught me to bend the puff in half and press the powder into my skin. The best powder the general public had was from Coty, which was the most refined one at the drug store. Being a theatre kid, I preferred the powder from Ben Nye that I got from theatrical supply stores. Whatever you used, it was the same technique. I saw Wayne Goss do this awhile back and gave his video the same smile I’m giving yours. I guess that good techniques never go out of style. I’m thankful that we have better puffs and brushes than what I used to use. It makes such a difference. I won’t keep telling you about all the wonderful techniques you shared that I do, too. It’s almost enough to keep me from starting my own channel, but I do have some other techniques that you might enjoy.

Omg yes the Coty! My mother(born in 62, I'm born in 88) used Coty from her mother(37-22) with the big fluffy puff in half! I have also learned some pretty awesome make up hacks from theater major friends bsck in the early 2000s. Before setting sprays, I used hair spray until my friend turned me onto the theater setting spray. Of course u can't use thst stuff everyday but for special events/competitions, it was so much better than hairspray. I still have the Coty powder and use it as a powder foundation in the summer. I love the smell!

@@VianneyStrick Oh it's peachy orange, that's interesting from some pics i got the impression that it was yellowish, idk anymore all these "bronzer" shade in palettes are running into each other for me. The wet and wild call me sunshine palette was another one I was looking at for this reason lmao. In this video I am glad you mentioned putting bronzer on your temples so many other people do streaks on their cheeks and forehead and it doesn't look cohesive to me. Putting bronzer on the temples helps it look more recessed contributing to sculpting the face imho.
@VianneyStrick3 жыл бұрын
I think you’re actually right!! My bad. It definitely leans more orange yellow now that I look at it. I think it could definitely work as a bronzer. Especially since it’s matte. Yes I love putting bronzer on my temples. It really brings everything together :)
