@APAMVs I have alot to say when it comes to Augustus, most haters are casuals so they compare Whitaker to the late prince naseem(I also did so as well at first) who lost in his last fight with just simple basic Mexican boxing. Augustus will be remeberd for his tekken like style and his short noticed fights that still went the distance,Whitaker might be Augustus if Augustus had a proper coach, promoter, judges.
Some of the top tier UK coaches and trainers should consider taking Leon Willings under their wing. Take a look at the footage. That gent has genuine raw talent. Based on Boxrec, he doesn't seem to have an amateur record, but his movement, defense and stamina are on point.

Well that’s just silly but the point is that Willings took the fight on 9 days notice against a fighter who is said to be set for super stardom who has fought at decent venues all over the world in Commonwealth - world and Olympic finals . Whittaker at 26 has a heck of a lot more experience than the 23 year old Willings and has already experienced some big nights , Willings on the other hand has never been on a stage anywhere like the 02 and for him to put up a performance like that was a great achievement. I say onwards and upwards now for the lad and with the steady improvement likely I think he has a bright future .

That wasn’t much of a performance mate what you talking about he was a literal punching bag that shoulder rolled a few times 😂😂 forget the context look at things objectively, Ben absolutely smoked him technically and yet still people are putting him down and that’s the point - most of it isn’t even rational it’s just purely from the fact he’s a confident dude who likes to entertain and the British have never liked that (since Naseem Ofcourse but he just shoved it down your throats and made you like it) 😂

Naruto entrance, Hajime no ippo and whitebeard tats plus an entertaining boxing style makes this man one of my favorite boxers of all time. Amazing skill and gotta love to see him toy with his opponents. This man has what the sport of boxing has been missing for a long time. I hope he gets really far. Regardless of his success, he’s got a big fan over here ❤

Whittaker is only having fun while he can, when he starts to level up he won’t be trying to entertain and box he’ll just box.

@DeterminedFC The truth hurts, don't hate a man for sharing his opinion. I hope I'm wrong, but when you cockily rub people up the wrong way and make a bit of a mockery of low level opponents you have to expect criticism.

@@DeterminedFC hey Farty Breath, Ben Whittaker is ingraining stupid mistakes by showboating time after time. If he doesn’t change his approach he’ll still have those mistakes and won’t be able to switch them off when he’s challenging the big boys.

i think its fair to say as a neutral that Ben showboating hides his mediocrity ...he is more of an entertainer,,, see how many times he got clocked today ,,,if it was a hard puncher ,,,it wld have been lights out
