Ryan Garcias punching speed is amazing, and his defense is amazing too; he uses blocks, parries, slips, weaves, blending evasion and parries and hard blocking together as well as rolling with punches when he does get hit and it make it through his guard, his defense is world class imo. His punching speed is extraordinary, even for a small guy from a smaller weight class. Every ounce of his body weight is behind his power punches; you can visibly see the other dude getting shaken and rocked and finally dropped by those heavy and repeated punches to the head with no chance to counter. I envy Ryan Garcia's blend of attack and defense and how smooth his boxing is both offensively and defensively. And it makes me want to train( I train muay thai; so everything you can do in boxing, it can be done and used in Muay Thai as well as plenty of extra things only in muay thai like kicks and knee strikes and legal grappling(to an extent, as long as strikes are being thrown or you are trying to trip/throw the other guy depending on ruleset of the venue). And it reminds me that even weak jabs have great use. It can cause lots of pain and irritation and obstruct your opponents view, and can be used to set up punches you can start piling on. when i jab I usually put my hips into it, making it a kind of lead arm left straight punch instead of just a jab/arm punch, and that is useful in its own right, but weak jabs are even better imo. Esp because you can make an enemy think you are only capable of hitting THAT hard(an arm jab with no hip rotation), before blasting them with the cross or hook followed by a leg or body kick with full hip and body rotation for max power and destruction. ...Im gonna get even more seriously into Muay Thai than before, like I was in the past; and attend class far more often, every day at the muay thai gym is my goal.

Dont take this the wrong way but golden boy fighters are sheltered from facing any real opposition. Their records are padded by the amount of bums they fight. Loved they way lopez fought at the beginning, he has a beautiful and technical style. Later when he had difficulties to me it looked like he was just marching forward without a plan, he didn't change his plan and when he was inside he would smother his own shots.

From what I've seen of the 4 top prospects so far, it's 1. Haney 2. Teofimo 3. Shakur 4. Garcia... This list can change instantly.

@TheZayzkidd34 жыл бұрын
@@lalo3045 If you know about boxing, Shakur more than exist. Plus Garcia has to AT LEAST fight a guy who has more than 20 fights. Idk, I might be wrong about him... but his long arms are hard to deal with.

@@lalo3045 Plus, I see Tank Davis as being more advanced than these guys at this point... so I'm not putting him in this category.
