Sounds like a bad bug with the embedded software of the Spectralert Advance alarms, or bad wiring. Who regulates alarms? They should be busting Sysyem Sensor's ass like the FAA is to Boeing and the 737 MAX.

SpectrAlert Advances are pretty loud, but they're NOWHERE as loud as the old electromechanical fire alarm horns are! (It seems common that old fire alarms are typically louder than the newer electronic ones are.)

that is very true, my middle school has the older simplex 9838 horns from when it was built in 1990, the alarms make a loud clap sound when they start and the sound it makes is very loud, my high school that im going to has est pre integrity which i heard can be loud

Can confirm. My old elem school had a system of Simplex alarms with about 7 or so 4030s in the gym. It was so incredibly loud that some kids complained about earraches

Spectralert advances are louder and it has been proven. Mechanical horns sound louder because they are lower pitched and hey vibrate more, meaning the sound travels further. But, that doesn't mean that they're louder.

Any time I've heard a fire alarm system with SpectrAlert Advances start up, they always do that. Wouldn't be surprised if the systems at my college that have them did so too.

Yes it does, in four of the buildings. The school I went to for kindergarten also now has them, after their old Simplex system from the 70s was failing. The Advances are VERY common in my area.

You can also notice how the camera is picking up the full strobe on the 3rd horn blast and in-between, and not the full strobe on the 1st, and 2nd horn blast before the coding got messed up And after the coding got messed up the camera is picking up the full strobe on the 1st and 2nd horn blast, and not the full strobe on the 3rd horn blast and in-between So it looks like the camera is picking up full 2 strobe flashes, and then not 2 full strobe flashes and repeats in a pattern when the coding is all normal (Ex: Full Flash, Full Flash, Not Full Flash, Not Full Flash, and repeat)
