Matthew! Thank you so much for becoming a channel member! I just posted a channel members only community post. Please give it a read through, as there is a lot of information there that you'll want to see. Basically, KZbin makes it really difficult for the creator to actually communicate with members. So, I have to use the community posts to try to get in touch with everyone.

@@subwaybe2008Sweet! I have met several people who actually scared especially turbulence. I helped them to calm a bit with my assurances. One time there is a lady sitting on the last row on a 737-800, just as I am. We took off from Denver heading for Boise and there is massive turbulence, it jumps so much and hard. She grabs the seats arm rest, I looked down, saw her like that. So I talked to her saying it’s alright it’s normal for Denver to have this kind of turbulence since it’s Rocky Mountain right next to it. After that she doing awesome. It’s an Experience.

i've been a big fan of civil aviation since my childhood and i like to watch these travel videos on KZbin. But his one has something that touched me more personally. It is this passenger who touche the carling of the plane several times before boarding it. Although im an aviation freak, i have the same ritual every time i get on the plane. To touche the carling and said a little prayer. I though I was the only one in the world who does that. Incredible.

Excellent video as always. One little aded touch would really be the icing on the cake. Occasionally, show a scene from the actual in- flight path screen, that shows your overland position, altitude, airspeed, and outside air temperature. True aviation fans will appreciate that extra touch to your already outstanding full-flight videos. Keep up the great work.

I go to sleep putting this on KZbin on TV...! What are the circular patches on the ground at 3:28?
@sla31
@sla31 2 жыл бұрын
Those are crops. Fields. Through the middle of the country, the bread basket, they pretty much farm year round. However, there's not always enough natural rainfall to sustain that. So they irrigate the fields. The circles are created when farmers use an irrigation system called center point or center pivot irrigation. A pipe system that's on wheels basically makes giant circles around the views, watering the crops as it goes. So, only the crops within the circle grow.

Right now, there are a lot of domestic wide bodies running around. American, Delta, and United pretty much have them running on all of their hub to hub routes. American is also running some to LAS and MCO as well. High demand routes. As the world opens back up though, you'll see less and less of it.

Nothing special about it. What makes it any different from all the other twin engine planes that seat 6 or more across? Flying on it blindfolded, I wouldn't notice anything different about it compared to another twin engine such as a 757. Flew on it twice, nothing to write home about. The enormous weight and size of the engines makes the rows closest to the wing much more prone to turbulence than other seats. Sitting very far forward or back is much smoother.

I flew nonstop from Atlanta to LAX on Delta Air Lines’ L101 just for 4 hours and 30 minutes - one more hour from MIA to LAX. I think it is because the flights from MIA to LAX would have to fly over Mexico prior to arriving LAX, while the flights from ATL to LAX fly on straight route.

I just flew for the 1st time last month because I wanted to go to my grandson's wedding. The scariest thing was after the plane took off and about 5 minutes later the engines throttled down and I was afraid they were about to cut off completely. I learned later that the pilot slowed down the engines to save fuel. Otherwise it wasn't bad.

Just last month December 18th I flew for the first time I went to my fiancé’s mom and dads house in Washington state I flew from Sacramento ca to Portland Oregon I watched these videos of take off and landing to get a idea of what to expect the real feeling is when your in the plane. The first time I took off I was concerned but I realized it was part of the flight. Once in Portland we landed the first time landing was kinda scary but once I boarded to come home and I definitely knew what to expect so take off and landing didn’t bother me coming home.

Awesome!!! And, nice to see a landing in LA during the rain--which is rarity!

Apparently I bring rain to LA, as I've landed or left LAX in rain more times than sun hahaha. Maybe I need to fly there more in the summer when the fires always happen.

@@sla31 we are definitely tired of the wildfires out here. But they are spectacular in their expanse when flying. Landed in Phoenix in August at night and there were five or six that you could see in the darkness ominous and impressive at the same time.

You should look at vegas and phoenix the . Both combined get less rain than la. I agree la doesnt get a lot of rain. Just wondering how would you define rain being rare?

@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast I'm a climatologist. I know Phoenix, SD, LV, Palm Springs get less than 10 inches a year. LA gets about 13 . Typically, rainfall out here is confined to Dec-March. Also, number of annual days with rain is important. Avg US city gets 107 days of rain a year. Phoenix gets 33 days a year, San Diego 38, Las Vegas 26, Palm Springs 15. LA 34. In comparison to the rest of the country let's just say rain out here is infrequent not rare. And, 90 percent of the rainfall falls in a 100-120 day span and most cities in the west/southwest get over 300 days of sunshine per year. Out here, you pretty know when you will get rain. It's seasonal.

You’d be surprised. A lot of people use my videos to help relax, unwind, or sleep. The white noise has a calming/asmr type effect. Regardless, I appreciate everyone who takes the time to watch. Thanks my friend!

Another great video, thank you! What a beautiful plane. I loved the guy in front of you, while boarding, giving the plane a love tap. I also do that before boarding, I give the plane 3 little love pats. My husband thinks I'm nuts. It's like me saying "you are a beautiful plane, good plane, good plane..... 😁

How do you even film this with the configuration of the first class seats? I’ve never been on them but it seems like it would get uncomfortable after a while.
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
So, for flights like this, I use a RAM mount to help extend my reach. So, I don't have to lean forward to film. I can just rest my hand on the small "work area" area and hold the camera where I want it. The mount I have is: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U. Typically it's used only for the time-lapses you see on here, but every once in awhile, specifically when I'm in first class like this, I use it to make it more comfortable for me. So, I still don't attach it to the plane. I hold the mount on the work area but it lets me get a much better angle without killing my back haha.

1:02 Some people have a thing where they need to touch the outside of the fuselage before they board a plane. I do and it looks like this guy does, also. Maybe it's a form of OCD.

Hi I don’t know if you remember me but I’ve liked a lot of your content . I will be flying spirit and Allegiant in about a month. What do you think of them and have you ever flown them?
@sla31
@sla31 Жыл бұрын
Hey my friend. Good to see you around the comments again. Both Spirit and Allegiant are ultra low cost carriers, so as long as you go in expecting that, then they'll be fine. I've flown Allegiant a few times. Believe it or not, I've never flown on Spirit, but that's generally just because I prefer to fly on full service airlines. In both cases, you literally get what you pay for. That's kind of the whole idea behind them. If you want food and priority boarding, then you just pay for it. So they are kind of À la carte airlines.
