I flew on this exact same aircraft back in March 2018 from New Orleans to St. Louis, N746SW! I have a video posted on my channel from that flight also! The wing definitely wasn't as dirty as in this video though, lol. Another great video and liked!

Great Video! Which hard product of Southwest do you like? The brand new hard product (Heart Interior) or the older ones?
@sla313 жыл бұрын
I prefer the new heart interior. I think the seats are more comfortable than the old ones, and they provide a little more leg space since they're thinner.

These videos are great but you need to take them away from the wings. Takes half the view away.

I try sit in various places on different flights to get a variety of views. That said, my channel is, first and foremost, about the aviation. So, the wing is kind of the most important part. Thanks for watching my friend!

Look, we all appreciate your videos and they're great and all that, but why do all you aviation youtubers put "full flight" in your titles and then perform dozens of cuts throughout the videos that obviously make it NOT the "full" flight? Just came from the TUL-DFW video where I noticed...and a lot of youtubers, not you, even consider it a "full flight" video to show the take-off, dinner and landing clips from a transatlantic flight. JUST WHY? Words have meaning.

I appreciate that you enjoy the videos my friend, but let me explain why I list the videos as I do. First, nowhere in the title, description, or comments do I ever claim these are "uncut" or "unedited." Yes, I cut out certain parts, but that is done for specific reasons. I call these videos full flights because they are full flights. I show the full experience of a flight in one single video. It's not just a takeoff or landing. Four of my weekly uploads are exactly that. Just a takeoff or landing, and they're labeled as such. So, I cut footage out for several practical reasons, which I explain below, but before we get to that, full flight is the best way I found to label these as. It's not just a takeoff or landing, it's not a trip report, and it's not just the takeoff and the landing. So, calling it any of those, i.e., "Takeoff & Landing", "Trip Report," or anything else fits what it actually is even less. In the end, I call them full flights because I am presenting the full experience of the flight in one single video, and again, I don't ever claim they are "uncut" or "unedited." Now, there are also several practical reasons why I cut footage out. First, I do everything on this channel at my own expense, and on my free time. So, I have to take into consideration how much stuff costs, and how much time I invest on it. The biggest reason I cut out footage, is that 4K footage takes up massive amounts of space. I have over 70,000 GB (no that’s not a typo, that’s 70 TB) of external hard drive space, just to store the footage I’ve uploaded on this channel. For example, a flight from HNL-DFW that is 8-10 hours long, that I cut down to 3 hours, still takes up over 250 GB of space. A full, uncut, 10 hour video would take up over 1 TB (1,000 GB) of space, and it would also take like 24 hours to upload to KZbin and have it be processed into full 4K quality. And that doesn't include the amount of time I have to spend uploading the footage to the computer, importing the footage to the editing program, rendering the file to upload to KZbin, etc. I simply don't have time to deal with uncut flights. And I have a really good computer with a 9-core professor with 64 GB of RAM. And it would still take more time than I have to deal with those types of videos. It's just not worth the extra effort to show an extra bit of "cruise" footage from 35,000 feet. And last, I don't use any type of mount. When it comes to the footage I post, I refuse to accept anything but the absolute best quality footage. I am a perfectionist in the truest sense of the word, when it comes to what I post on this channel. As a result, I refuse to use any type of camera mount, which means I hold the camera by hand. I do this because mounts transfer vibrations from the aircraft into the lens of the camera, which gives the footage a "jello" look to it. Almost like ripples running through water after you throw a rock onto the surface. So, I an only hold the camera for so long before my arm needs a break. I can go for about an hour between breaks. And last, I also do this because most people who visit my channel, do not want to sift through a seven hour video for the 30 minutes they are actually interested in. So, I cut out what isn't important. In the end, I show everything that is important to the flight. Basically, if I didn't show it, it wasn't worth showing. Hopefully this helps answer your questions my friend. Thanks for watching!

@@sla31 Thanks for your enormous reply. I feel a bit dumb not responding equally verbosely, but anyway. I did guess the manual holding bit from the irregular sway independently of the wing, but I have to say you are One_Mad_Man for doing it that way. I was aware of the humongous file sizes, but I still feel "full flight" is pretty non-interpretable, so I'm gonna suggest "Edited", "Cut", "Essential bits" or similar; especially the shorter flights already ARE 90% "full", so that's why I wasn't sure as to the small edits.
@sla313 жыл бұрын
@@marsjune6716 Honestly, the small edits are more for me to keep track of stuff when editing the videos. Since I list the important timestamps in the video description, that makes it easy for me to kind the times I want to list. As you mentioned, the shorter flights are pretty much the uncut flight. It's also worth mentioning that I list the flight time as the total time onboard the aircraft. So, for the moment I step on, until the moment I step off. So, there's extra time listed there that wasn't actually "door closed, flying" time. As for your suggestion, I'll keep those in mind. Another limiting factor is that KZbin limits titles to 100 characters, so that's also something I have to consider. Full Flight takes up a lot less space than Edited Flight, Takeoff & Landing, etc. Those are decent suggestions though. which I hadn't considered.
