Today you are flying with me on a Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800, from Sydney to Melbourne (population: 5 million) 713km southwest of Sydney (population: 5.4 million). Sydney-Melbourne air route is the busiest (excluding Asia) in terms of passenger volume in the world. Departing a sunny Sydney, we first closely pass by Canberra, after which we fly over mountainous terrain until right before descending into Melbourne. In the meantime, after Canberra the scattered cloud turns broken/overcast. Along the route, we fly over Kosciuszko National Park, which contains mainland Australia's highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko, for which it is named, and Cabramurra, the highest town in Australia. This was filmed onboard Virgin Australia VA 826 on 16th May 2022.
