Here is my review of the Laowa Ranger cine zooms, including the new 16-30! Which one would you pick if you had to choose one? Hope you enjoy it! Cheers, Flo

I hope that one day sigma makes a full frame version of their 18-35 and 50-100 lenses because those are amazing zooms. I thought i would use them less since I got the Pyxis but I use them as much as my Blazar Remus and DZO primes. Such a unicorn of lenses.
@LE_GRATIN2 ай бұрын
there already do a 24-35 f2.0 art, very good lense for 24X36. you can use the 50-100 d1.8 art for a 1.3 crop, it's an aps-h lense. Vignetting is strong but okay in that way.

If you get the chance, I’d be interested seeing the S35 Rangers on the Pyxis - if there would be benefits in smaller sizes/weights, if coverage would be similar and what recording modes on the Pyxis would be suitable.

10/10 Nice review of what appears to be a solid lens. I have a couple Loawa lenses I love.

Thanks so much!! They really make great lenses :)

Very interesting lenses to add to my documentary kit. In varite style documentary where story unveils in front of the lens .. you better have zoom lens hehe. I love my primes from Irix Cine, but sometimes I use Dzo Pictor Zooms and these Rangers seem very nice. I need to take a closer look. Thanks for this overview. Cheers!

DZO Pictor Zoom 20-55mm or Laowa Rangers 17-50mm? For my BMPCC6K Pro.
@OfTwoLands2 ай бұрын
I haven't tried the 17-50 so I can't really give you an honest answer! Depends on your needs in terms of focal lenght, size and weight and features.

If you’re shooting on s35, having more options on the wide end is always more helpful
@frankfeng27012 ай бұрын
As a long-term investment, DZO Pictor would be my choice because it rents and sales much better than the Rangers.

The look kind of reminds me of the Sirui Jupiter?

Paid review, no thanks

I get paid for my time and experience. When was the last time you spent days working and sharing knowledge for free? No one is forcing you to watch it.. :) Again I am Getting paid for my time, not so I can be biased. I say no to 95% of requests I get and I always make sure to say what I like but also what I don't like and what doesn't work, regardless of the company or product. My goal is to create videos I would personally watch, that are useful, genuine and where the filmmaker had enough time to create.
@9192jgopi2 ай бұрын
@OfTwoLands I get that, but I love watching your content for your authentic opinion (been following you for 3 years religiously) and when I hear that they gave you the set for free, it's hard for me to trust your opinion on the product. Thanks for your content as always!
@9192jgopi2 ай бұрын
Like there's no way you're using that 28-75 on your upcoming shoots. You have much better zooms in your artillery
