Full German Restaurant in Downtown Mount Dora, Florida | Bavarian Haus German Restaurant

In today's video, we had so many suggestions to try the German restaurant in downtown Mount Dora, Florida called the Bavarian Haus German Restaurant. We had a lot of people ask us to do a review so we thought it was time! We haven’t tried a lot of German Food before but we wanted to make it a full German experience so we asked our nice waitress on her suggestions and she picked it all out for us. She did not disappoint! It was all very good. We definitely ordered way too much food but we got to show everything off. We even had a German beer! Everything g was very delicious but we have to give the dessert stinkin’ good! It was a cheese strudel with vanilla sauce and ice cream. It was so good! Love your reviews of many familiar places around Central Florida. One of the best known German by locals is in Sanford: Hollerbach’s German restaurant. Great and fun experience with live music. The restaurant is huge and always has a wait line. I recommend. The German buffet restaurant in Epcot is top also. I go to both several times a year.

I lived in Milwaukee where they have many German restaurants. My favorites were rouladen (beef rolls), sweet and sour red cabbage and hot German Potato salad.

It looks like very good authentic German food. The potato pancakes and applesauce reminded me of making them as a little girl with my dad, who is German. I would go to this place for the food and the atmosphere. It is always nice to hear of good servers too. They can make or break a good meal. Thanks for the great review!😃

Ha, you looked like a Viking with your beard and beer. I would be good with a pretzel and the dessert, but a good review of everything. Tember was a good sport to try things. Sunset was a bonus!

You have got to try Taste of Berlin in Brandon. At one time I would have recommended Emma's Old Time Tavern in Deland, but I'm sure that's gone, the 2 ladies that ran that can't possibly still be going. But sweet baby Jesus was that place good German food.

Hi. Thank you for this video and all your others. I just want to let you know that you are supposed to enjoy both the sour cream and applesauce with the potato pancakes. Put a little sour cream on it and then some applesauce.

This is crazy about 3 hours ago I watch your video of the German restaurant in Sanford Florida and it brought me back to my childhood in manhattan in German town .. so I went online and the closest authentic German restaurant was this place so I was just there an hour ago and took my mother and had the sauerbraten something I grew up loving .. the place is a little run down but that’s fine for an old restaurant as long as the food is great and it was ok the woman who sat us was very nice but they had put to much sour gravy over the beef and the red cabbage wasn’t really good it was out of a can I believe… but the overall food was Ok the atmosphere was OK it’s right off the Main Street in down town Mount Dora and there were 1000’s of people walking around getting coffee and window shopping , it’s my first time there since I live over near the Villages . I am moving this week to fort myers and already looked up German restaurants there and found one that looks promising… your video screwed me up in Sanford with the German singing and the Oktoberfest seating and the outfits all looked legit and that wasn’t what I just had in Mount Dora
