Hi Jessie, I just wanted to say thank you very much for this video. It is really informative and helped me ease my anxiety a little especially at the part when you showed how you organised your documents (Believe me when I was actually worried on how to label each documents, so seeing that you printed/pasted it at the top left corner is truly very helpful - little things like this that people may not bother with is what gets me anxious the most especially!). I also want to commend you for your certificates - like wow, you're so hardworking in learning so many languages! But nothing tops my expression when I saw that you had published a book on Korea before. No wonder you got into Korea Uni!! You totally deserve this, Queen! I am off to watch your other videos on writing the personal statement. I have began writing mine but it's a bit of a mess so far so I'm sure your video will help. I hope to apply in 2026, so I am preparing now in advance starting with TOPIK II exam (phew!). The course I want to study in S.Korea will definitely be different than my undergrad degree (I did Law, but yeah there is absolutely no way I will take Law in S.Korea) so I'll have to try even harder. 4:38 Well, I think high GPA varies from department to department. in MBA program, 90% or above GPA is not hard. However, achieving a GPA above 90% is really hard in engineering faculty, right? I think that should also consider this situation

Well, that can be true. Everything is evaluated relatively. If in a particular faculty the average GPA is lower than in others, I guess that is being considered.

Hi Jessie, thank you for giving such detailed answers! As I've started preparing for GKS-G 2025 and will apply through the Embassy Track, I often find myself stressing about unnecessary details like "how do I arrange all the forms!!!!", so you're a guardian angel, to say the least T.T I had three very specific questions that may seem trivial but it would be a huge help if you could answer them! 1. On the checklist form, there's "Name of Institution Receiving Application" at the top, so do I need to write the names of the 3 selected universities on their respective forms + one for NIIED? Or is it better to leave the space blank? 2. CGPA - the guideline states that "transcript indicated with a CGPA for the entire academic curriculum will be accepted even if it does not have GPA per semester/year" --- As my transcript has my total CGPA, do I only need to fill in the first row in that section and leave the two rows next to it blank? 3. Will the person writing the Recommendation letter need to sign across the flap of the envelope? And in which of the 4 envelopes should I put the sealed recommendation letters?

Also about the recommendation letter. Do all four recommendation letters have to be put in one envelope and signed or one in each envelope?

You are very welcome! I typed all information and then, I printed. Yes, you first get all 4 copies of your recommendation letter signed and sealed, then you put all 4 into one envelope, which should also be signed and sealed in the opening part of the envelope.

For embassy track, in the documents for the university they will cost one recomendation letter or even 4 for each university and also the copy they do need anymore to pass from notorize becouse only for the korea embazy will be the origial, righ???

Where did you get the information that Embassy accepts only over 90%? I don't think that information is sure...

Well it's really depends on the country embassy or the university ur choosing also the major ur choosing for example engineering and med is pretty competitive specially in big cities

I don't mean that it is a fact and under 90% you have less chances. All I said are my subjective recommendations based on my experience and observations. It also depends on the competition. If there are 6 spots and 3 students with GPA over 90%, those with less GPA are chosen. If 10 students with GPA over 90%, others have less chances until they hold other strong documents (high TOPIK/IELTS, powerful letters)

Yes, you put 1 original and 3 copies in one envelope and then, you seal that envelope and send it to the embassy along with other documents.

There are 2 ways of applying for GKS: University track and Embassy track. University track is when you choose 1 university in Korea and send your application there. Embassy track is when you choose 3 universities in Korea and send your application to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in your country. If Embassy accepts your application, it will send your application to the 3 universities that you chose. And then those 3 unis will decide to choose you or not.
