I don't know, maybe there's some mistake with this video. Her challenge is not hard enough to impress audience compared with others though.

yeah, I had watched this whole series when I was back in China. Almost all Chinese TV shows on youtube are incomplete or bad quality. I believe there will be more complete videos of interesting TV programs later...

It was just an editing mistake ;)
@yinilim81656 жыл бұрын
It's editing's fault. The scene with the science assistant pointing at the photo should be after she had already confirmed her answer. Reason being at 1:28:40 we can see that the science assistant went in front of the African child's photo and put her hand on it was after she had chosen and confirmed her answer. At 1:31:27 her index finger was pointing at her own chin, and at 1:31:37 her finger then points to the answer from her chin. This should be the correct chronological order of what has happened. The reason why there was the 1:31:30 scene of her seemingly trying to "figure out the answer" and being "unsure" was because (she had explained this herself) she wasn't being unsure but after looking at the details of the samples' features, she would stand back and observe again so to imagine what it would be like if the pictures were to be combined. So it might seem that she was finding the answer at 1:31:30, but actually this scene was supposed to be after 1:31:37. And of course there were audiences and judges, if even there was biased from them (which I don't think so), it would not be such an obvious one. Cheers~

Absolutely ridiculous.... Should gymnastics skills should just be a skilled through physical training with little or no scientific connections. why did they qualify her in the first place? They should disqualified "none related" skills altogether if they choose to leave the judgement biased towards scientific grounds only. Repeatedly they have allowed less "scientific" display to be coldly downplayed at the ending moments. This is a complete waste of emotions at the expense of the participants. Dear Doctor Wei if you are reading this, do you qualify science as the only measure for the magnificence of the human brain? If science alone offers the solution, from the the arts, poetry, books and music for example left by masters through the ages can then be deduced logically. I choose to believe this is not the case. In the absence of explanations, the human spirit remains lifted. Perhaps Science is not the only measure for the greatness of the mind. I care that you kindly consider that. Thank you.

Even by rigid scientific analysis, Kunlin's criteria are narrow-minded, ill-founded and blatantly contradictory.
@alveolate9 жыл бұрын
the scientist was basically saying she used the 100sec to PRACTICE a few preset moves, which is not easy for average people; but for atheletes, specifically gymnasts, this is something they do everyday. further, once she did that physical PRACTICE run, her body could remember the positions kinaesthetically -- which is not as hard as it sounds. if she did not PRACTICE alongside, and merely memorised the positions in 3D space, then applied those moves against her memory of those laser beams, then she would get much better difficulty points. remember: the point of the programme is to look for exceptional brain power, not just good application of gymnastics skills. what she did was incredible, but not too far from blindfolded knifethrowing acts.
@zoetropo19 жыл бұрын
+Gregory Samuel Teo (alveolate) There was NO PRACTICE RUN. She optically observed where the laser beams were. In the actual test she converted her optical memory into kinetic. If anyone thinks that's not a great fear of brain power, then they can try designing a human-sized machine to replicate any of that. No one has ever succeeded in such a design task. The pattern matchers and numerical calculators however, whom Dr Know-It-All scores so highly, can all be replaced entirely by machines.
@Rayshader9 жыл бұрын
+Gregory Samuel Teo (alveolate) Dr Wei was blatantly making an unscientific assumption. He assumed that all athletes were capable of the same feat. It is as good as saying any artist is capable of creating art pieces of the same caliber since they have been painting all their lives. It is shameful that he has little respect for fellow humans since scientific reasonings have no remedy for poor character integrity. The program is fundamentally flawed by misleading subjects that are predestined for failure at the hands of a narrow minded vocal cannon. Pre selection needs more thoughts to avoid such fruitless end.
