This team is playing wildly uninspired hockey compared to earlier in the season, seemingly since Matthews’ return. Careless turnovers, puck watching, and sloppy passes are piling up. Tonight felt more like we handed the game away than the Wings actually earning it.

IDK why Rielly is so favoured with this team. The coaches pair this guy up with different partners and he continuously is bad in his own end. Rielly is not a top NHL defence-man, he should not be on the power play neither. The bottom 6 forwards have played well all season, but they need to get on the scoreboard to help this team win.

Are Leafs better without Matthews? He figured on 3 goals in a way: one he scored; another one was part of turnover for Redwings goal; 3rd goal would have been Marners if Matthew’s hadn’t been offside(Redwings reviewed it). Marner set up Matthews nicely for his goal- I think everyone gets goals playing with Mitch Marner.

So another bad game by the Leafs in December apart from the win against the lowly Blackhawks. That's a total of 12 goals in the past six games and only one from the bottom six which was scored by Holmberg short-handed against New Jersery - a game the Leafs should have lost if not for Stolarz. The outstanding goalies are making the Leafs look better than they are and the facade is slowly being revealed. This team is in trouble.

Maybe the fans constantly complaining and asking for trades is the real problem. It’s not like the leafs are getting slaughtered every night. They’re getting chances, but they aren’t going in. They will be fine. Worry about the playoffs. It’s a long season.

The secret to winning, championships and games is to score more than your opponent. Leafs have done this multiple times in December. Lost a couple, and hasn't played 100% up to their potential, sure. But the W is what matters and the Leafs are pursuing first place in the Atlantic. Losses will happen. Just have to play better next time.

The team is gone back to its losing ways since Matthews returned...the team chemistry is gone and the only games they have won was because our goaltenders stood on their heads....Matthews is robbing ice time from our hard working players, and as usual folks will say he scored 5 goals in 7 games..... Well marnrr and others did all the work on those goals and Matthews is still a +/- disaster and a cancer that must go .....

So getting the right call....is wrong? LMAO I was pissed at first but it was offside. The rule exists for a reason. Against or for Toronto, I still prefer the game to be won or lost fair. And fairness is the rule.
