The announcers saying that the goal was unnecessary confuse me. If it is a 1 score game, then it absolutely isn't unnecessary. If it is more than 1 score, then what's the other team doing with a pulled goalie? If you are down by two or three with less than 2 minutes to go, there's no reason to pull the goalie. If you choose to anyways, then be prepared to just lose by more...

Not a big hockey guy but im guessing this is the equivalent of the unspoken rule in NBA of just holding the ball and not shooting when time is running down for end of the game?
@camkraw89310 ай бұрын
Idk I was thinking it's when they slap shot it in a taunting way, because it's not like there were 5 seconds left in most of these games and a one goal difference game why wouldn't you score if possible? I can't wrap my head around it 😂
@szahmad24168 ай бұрын
0:00 - and with that empty net slap shot, Ridly Grieg improved the performance of the moribund Leafs in ten seconds more than Sheldon Keefe did the whole season.

I like the response. Greg was showboating. I don’t have a problem with him scoring, but the way he did it… He deserved the response and Reilly deserved the suspension.

You DONT hammer it home like that on an empty net. It is like an unspoken rule, you DONT or prepare to have some hands thrown at you. If you slap it home like that you are ASKING for it.

Australian here can someone explain to me where the goalies are and why people are cross sticking chaps in the face for scoring?
@freddie63078 ай бұрын
when teams get desperate for more scoring chances in the third period, they'll sometimes take out their goalies in exchange for putting an extra man on the ice. this is usually a last resort, and you have to have really solid defense in order to find even a little bit of success this way. as for your second question, many players are emotionally immature lmao
