Great videos. I’ve been following your Sol-Ark installs and am excited you can compare to Tesla as well. Any upcoming videos of the Powerwall 3 which supposedly makes install even easier?

yeah, I have a project with PW3 coming soon. Video will be posted.

I've been interested in the economics of solar since starting to experiment with it myself. So, if a 9kW Tesla Powerwall was used to the maximum extent for 20 years, the number of kWh cycled would be 9kWh*365*20 = 65,700 kWh. A quick lookup found that a Powerwall costs $9200 not installed. so the cost of the electricity stored in the Powerwall (not counting other needed equipment) is $9,200 / 65,700 kWh = $0.14 per kWh. That doesn't include the cost of panels to charge the Powerwall, maintenance, opportunity cost of the equipment, installation (unless you consider you time to be worthless), etc. So, if the local cost of electricity is

In our area we have power outages few times a year. Price for 1kWh - $0.50 USD and going up.

@@SolarEngineering That definitely shifts the equation!

Nice clean install. Do you have to be a certified tesla installer to get powerwalls? As an installer how do you like the powerwall vs the 48V LiFePO4 batteries?

Yeah, only certified installer can commission Tesla system. I haven't check software yet, but install definitely easier than Sol-Ark/Luxpower. Will see how good software/settings flexibility compare to 48V LFP systems. Thanks for feedback!
