Full House Walkthrough Part 1

Part 1 of a guided tour through the house that was the set of the hit Korean television drama "Full House" (2003). View Part 2 here: • Full House Walkthrough... Apologies for any lapses in the video quality (it was my first time shooting on the Nikon D5100) and for my voice (I sound like an Australian version of Simon from Misfits in his pre-Superhoodie days). Filmed at the actual house on Sido Island, Incheon, South Korea in September 2012. The house sadly no longer stands, having apparently been demolished in later 2012 or early 2013. Full House starred Rain as Lee Young-Jae and Song Hye Gyo as Han Ji-Eun. It was one of the most popular, recognisable and enjoyable Korean dramas of the early 2000s. Personally, it is one of my equal favourite Korean dramas of all time.

Me 2, (now August 2024) I re-watch this timeless masterpiece... whenever I felt sad/having a bad day (never get borring). This full house drama make me smile + laugh again. Also This is the entrance & 1st K-Drama that I ever watched. At that time I was high school (17 years, my golden time). After that I watch others K-drama. Its good, But not all have "click" connection, Like this movie. This movie have a good plot story, easy listening music, strong character. not only Rain / song hye kyo. You might be able to find the right architect but you can't replace the original one. And how about the beach background near the house, can your architect make a beach background for you? I agree with everything you have said! It was such a beautiful house and it meant so much to so many people. That said, at the time we were there, it had been a number of months since anyone had been to visit (or since the ticket booth had been manned, at least), so maybe it was costing too much to maintain and not making enough money back in tour fees. Plus, they may have been concerned at the deteriorating condition of the house and the possible risk of lawsuits if someone happened to be injured there. Doesn’t make it any less sad for those of us who love the show and the house itself :(

Thank you for sharing this video and telling me the behind the scenes of how they couldnt maintain the house and that not much people visited it because now this house is just a sweet memory of the past that no longer exist. You were truly lucky to have visited the full house I someday want to visit korea. It's such s shame that no one maintained this house, like surely once the interest died down they could've sold it to someone. You'd think maybe Rain or Song Hye-kyo even would've bought it! You’re right, it’s really upsetting that the house wasn’t maintained. But maybe for Rain and Song Hye Kyo, it was like an office space where they worked for a while. Plus, it was a location known to fans so it wouldn’t have given them much privacy, so I can kind of understand why they didn’t buy it, even though I wish they had too. But another commenter suggested that fans would probably have loved the chance to crowdfund the purchase of the place, which might have been fun :). Oh well ㅋㅋ

1st of July 2020 and I am watching this, lots of old memories came back to me about this drama and that includes the "Full house". A modern perfect house beside the sea, sadly the owner didn't maintain the beauty of it, even though it can cost a lot of dollars to fix, but I think preserving this beautiful property is worth it. Actually, when we got there, it was closed up, so we spent about an hour just sadly wandering around the outside. Fortunately, I called the KTO and they were able to get in touch with a kind local man who unlocked it for us and let us roam around inside to our hearts’ content :)

I watch it every now and then too, it will always be one of my favs. The bathroom where they brushed their teeth was at the rear of the kitchen, to the rights as you faced it. Unfortunately, the entrance to it was locked as I think that part of the house was already badly damaged. You can see the exterior in the garden where the external stairs went up to the master bedroom. Sadly, there was no way in there and while I did try peeking in, as far as I can recall, the windows were covered up, so I couldn’t see much. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for commenting :)

Hi Patrice, the house was located on Sido Island, off the coast of Incheon, northwest of Seoul. Sadly, it is gone now. Nobody was living there before it was demolished - it was a tourist attraction for fans of Full House for about 10 years after the show aired. A number of props and items of memorabilia were displayed in the house and it also seems to have been used to store some random things by the network. Sorry for replying so late, but I hope this answers your questions :)

I wish they would! Wouldn’t it be cool to have a series that shows Han Ji Eun’s and Lee Young Jae’s lives 20 years on? What did they do with their relationship? Did they raise a family in the house full of love? What happened to their careers? What happened in their friends’ lives? It would be awesome to find out!

As far as I know, it was badly damaged by a typhoon and then demolished. It’s sad… Unfortunately, I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back at this stage. I would like to go back to Sido one day and see how it looks now. If I do, I’ll make another video there!

I am from Sri Lanka🇱🇰. I really like the Full House 🏡.I was so excited to see this house one day . The place where the Full House located is very quiet and free . There is a sea Infront of the Full House and it is very beautiful .But I found out from the comments that the Full House was demolished . I'm very sad . 🇱🇰✈️🛫🛬🇰🇷🏡.

Hi, love your video. I wanna ask that how can I go to that exact destination? (what route, means of transport,...) Because I'm a foreigner have not travelled to Korea before. I want to register for a tour to go there (with other passengers) but in my country there are not any travel agents organizing tours go to Sido Island, so I think that I would go backpacking alone. Hi, thanks for watching the video! First thing to say is: the Full House set (the actual house) is not there any more. Apparently it got destroyed in a typhoon and the rest was demolished. But, Sido Island is still worth a visit! I don’t know what it’s like now or if there are any tours (we went 12 years ago - wow, I can’t believe it!), but the Korean tourism website had some info and Google Maps (or maybe NAVER) can help you plan out transport, buses, ferries etc. When we went there, we got a bus and a ferry to Sido and walked and got a lift/taxi on the island. It’s not hard to do by yourself or with a couple of friends. Research, research, research beforehand is the key. I hope you make it to Sido and have a great time.

That’s right, that was the location. I haven’t been able to go back there since I made the videos, so I’m not sure if there is a plaque or something to commemorate the location of the house. I really hope there is something so fans still have something nice in that spot. Maybe if someone visits and finds out, they can let us all know?

This a nice and unique house, but now it's already vanished this house because of the storm and no body take care of the full house, So sayang, if they take care of this house, surely they make part 2 here again😔so sad😔

I would have loved it if they had made an actual sequel series in the same house! There were rumors online of something like that being planned for a few years after the original, but sadly nothings came of it…

I think that they might have had legal trouble selling the house because it was a tourist attraction. If you remember, the network ended up having to buy Hyori’s house in Jeju that was used for Hyori’s B&B because of all the people who tried to visit there. Maybe that’s why? Plus, Full House was not being well-maintained, so it may not have been safe to sell it.
