Love it! I recall my first IFR flight with a 30,000 hr career AF pilot who was on this flight PIC. It was very IFR, with a 700' AGL ceiling. We were in thick clouds in a Warrior. I'll never forget being totally disoriented and as we broke through the ceiling at SMF there was the runway straight in front of us. What a thrill.

Loved every second of it. It was very nice getting to meet you, and talk to you in person about becoming a pilot. I loved your MZeroA Shoes, too cool. Can’t wait to hang again some time! Thanks Jason!

Does anyone else get a little anxious with the thriller type of music while in IMC?😅 PS Thanks for sharing. Two pilots in IFR is soooo much better.

Welcome to BNA. Always busy and getting busier. Great job with all of it! I think they are expanding the C soon? This fall I think?

Great video. I was actually watching you that day on ADS-B Exchange and listing on the scanner. Nashville was craze that day. Quick question why go to KBNA and not KJWN? KJWN is not as busy and is almost just as close to the main part of town. Thanks!

Great video! I’m creeped out by the robot ATIS as well 😅 Also, Good call on turning off the autopilot to handfly and keep your speed up on the approach 👌🏻

Fantastic video! An excellent example of the curve balls that can be thrown your way while in the IFR environment.

Great, well produced video. Curious, why KBNA when there are plenty of less busy airports in the area with many approaches? I figured it was for the video.

From a non pilot that was crazy trying to hear and process the comms . Even as ham radio operator I found it challenging to keep up.

The rush and stressed ATC... Gotta love it... Not even in the skies can you get away from it anymore

Yes, Robot ATIS freaks me out every time (they have it at KELP, so I'm forced to listen to it often). It's the stuff of nightmares.

Only other option other than BNA is John Tune (KJWN) and traffic going into there can be just as busy some days. One runway and majority of corporate jets fly into there. Crazy thing is they just made it a Class D a year or so ago...it was absolutely nuts when it was uncontrolled

Here in Europe you gotta be more correct on IFR Clearance readbacks.. not 121.35 1345 but departure frequency 121.35 squawk 1345 ..

Never know what you 'll get from the Nashville controllers. If they are really busy it seems like small GA planes are a nuisance to them and sometimes they are super nice and accommodating. Most times they'd rather you fly into John Tune which just doesn't work if you're picking up or dropping off someone flying commercial.
@sosco222 жыл бұрын
You talking too much. It’s busy enough with ATC
@darrelllynch78162 жыл бұрын
Please ask the instructor to toss that iPad in the back seat and stop the chatter. He won’t be with you when the weather goes down.
@willevertsen51062 жыл бұрын
The "chatter" is for our benefit watching the video. Maybe we let "the instructor" do the instructing, eh? 😂
