I've used Tiktok to create reels with texts and then shared to IG. Works like a charm.

Also tried with the reel function, upload your max. 30 second clip from the left corner and pick the part of video you want to have. Then you will get the same kind of tools as in stories. Choose text, write what you want and press for a few seconds. There will be cancel / attach options, press attach and drag the text / sticker to the spot on the video where you want it to be seen. Way easier with Tiktok, but doable with IG as well. I hope this helped you to get started if you haven't already.

I've been doing the same thing and haven't seen a huge difference. I know if something has done well on Tik Tok has usually done well on Reels for me

Yes it does! I used to do the same thing. Once I started editing inside iG my reels started to perform better! Also hide the tik tok logo if you know how

Reels is amazing and it’s helped me break my plateau. They really need to work on making using custom thumbnails more user friendly. Formatting is such a pain

Yes, you can. As long as it falls under the allowed time that you selected. So if you selected 30 seconds , all of the clips should add up to 30 seconds.
