When I first started my channel, I was skeptical of how difficult it was to continuously push out content Every. Single. Week. I had sleepless nights, the money I spent on filming equipment seemed like a waste, and I overall had no motivation to grow this channel... but I kept focused. Not only did I listen to the feedback, I learnt from my mistakes, focused on a niche and, most importantly, stayed consistent. Now... my channel is thriving more than I ever expected. If I can do it, you can too!

@@virginiebarba6842 Yes! You can select multiple videos in 1 and for speed of pre-recorded clips like this, I use the app InShot first! (You can do it in Instagram with pre-recorded clips)

Hey!! So mute your actual clip so that you don't have to worry about syncing - and just use the music from Instagram. You might mean how to sync with your movement - that part actually isn't too tricky! Just might have to play around with it a bit. I chose Panama because it is: close to my home of Toronto (and therefore family), I love tropical weather, it's got an international city + airport, and because they would let my disabled brother move here with me :)

Thanks for this beginners guide. I’ve started using these to share my grandsons spring baseball images. It takes more time, but I’m getting the hang of the Instagram features. I actually taught digital storytelling to educators for use in a one to one digital teaching and learning school back in 2008-2015ish. We transitioned from every student and teacher using MacBook laptops, then iPads, to Chromebooks. I retired when Chromebooks arrived. We used the Apple apps and lots of green screens. Goal was to move students from content consumers to content creators. 👍🏻

Yay! I'm so happy to hear that! I have an iPhone and there is a built-in recording feature that allows you to take a video screen recording! If you have an iPhone you can go to settings > control center > customize control center > hit the green "+" beside screen recorder and then this will come up for you!

Hey Collette! You can do this within the reels editor 🙂There should be a play button icon in the editor menu which will allow you to choose the speed and then you can start recording! I hope this helps xx

Hey Claudia! You can share your reel to your stories! Go to your reel and click the paper airplane (the share button) and then select your stories, or where your picture is! I hope this helps!

Make sure your app is updated to the latest version 🙂 This helps some people! For other people it sounds like the timing and selection of who has the music icon is somewhat random so may pop up randomly for you soon.

For your question, I think it is just a matter of getting the right angle (they have to be looking directly at the camera) and the right lightening for the phone to recognize them as a face! This will eventually work but may involve lots of treat for your fur baby 😉💛

Hi Julie! You can post your reels directly to your feed and this will help people view them! Depending on where you are viewing the reels, if you see one and scroll down then this will seemingly act like Tik Tok - you're right! You can also add hashtags which will help people find your reels. To find reels of the people you follow, you will likely come across this on your home feed occasionally, or, if you're looking for someone in particular go to their account and they will have them posted! 🙂

I completely lost you around minute 7, I don't know what is happening. I just wanted to know what happens in a reel and suddenly I'm doing voice overs? with what equipment? if I play the song while Im filming myself, wouldn't it catch the sound? nothing about that was mentioned. The tutorial was good, but you kind of rushed through adding the text especially since you only demonstrated 2 text boxes. I figured it how to do multiple text boxes using slide bars from ends but it took quite a while.

Actually, for me, IG reels are not that effective as its promoted. I prefer more stories and live videos. Video content has become one of the leading ones and engaging ones. Here are some om my 'growth' strategies - Upload more video content because video posts are proven to get 38 percent more engagement than posts containing images - Go live regularly. For live videos, you can include interviews, product demos, and Q&A with your viewers. To have high-quality live videos you can go live from your computer - Use the right hashtags to generate engagement. Follow at least 8 to 10 relevant hashtags.

Oh no! This may look a bit different on your phone! If you have a "+" in the top right corner, click that, and it may take you to a page that looks like you're posting a normal post but then it should also say "post", "story", "reels" and "live" at the bottom. Just scroll over to the reels 🙂
