In a "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders doubled down on comments he made in the 1980s where he praised late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. When asked about his current stance on Castro, the Democratic front-runner said he continues supporting aspects of his totalitarian regime. "We're very opposed to the authoritarian nature of Cuba," Sanders told host Anderson Cooper before pivoting to defending Castro. "But it's unfair to say that everything is bad." He then began parroting talking points often cited by the country's communist government. "When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing even though Fidel Castro did it?" In addition to that Cuban “literacy program” Bernie Sanders was raving about on 60 Minutes, let’s not forget about Fidel Castro’s “universal health care” system where OBGYNs have to literally reuse latex gloves on women. Let that sink in!😯

Bernie avoids Foreign Policy for a reason. He doesn't want to have to tell people who supported Nixon, Reagan the Bushes, the Clintons and Obama that they were duped. If he did, the MSM would run 24 hour coverage portraying him as 'UnAmerican. Bernie doesn't want to school people on Foreign Policy, he wants to appoint a Secretary of State. When they ask him about FP they are fishing for a soundbite, that they can use. Bernie has been right about everything, Panama, Iraq, Grenada, Afghanistan and Lybia, He got Yugoslavia wrong but just about everyone did, I think Parenti and Chomsky were the only ones who got it right, at the time. The CIA did a great job with that one, they had me. Foreign Policy isn't Bernie's blind spot, his tepid support for Israel is his Achilles Heel, and that puts him in a tough spot. Oh really? Lol In a "60 Minutes" interview that aired Sunday night, Vermont Sen. Is that a bad thing even though Fidel Castro did it?" Bernie Sanders is literally repeating communist propaganda on #60Minutes. Cuba already had one of the highest literacy rates in LatAm before Castro and as a Cuban historian explains here, his "literacy program" was actually a Marxist indoctrination effort. On the same day that Bernie Sanders welcomed an endorsement from anti-Vaxxer Marianne Williamson, he's got a 60 Minutes interview where he praises Castro's indoctrination... I mean "literacy program." I can't wait to see how this plays with swing voters come November. 😛😆😅👍

Is that a bad thing even though Fidel Castro did it?"Bernie Sanders is literally repeating communist propaganda on #60Minutes. Cuba already had one of the highest literacy rates in LatAm before Castro and as a Cuban historian explains here, his "literacy program" was actually a Marxist indoctrination effort. Also, Bernie Sanders just admitted he has NO CLUE how much abolishing the private health care system, and implementing Medicare for All will cost. Anderson Cooper just explained that everybody's taxes will go up, including the poor and middle class. Warm up to that! 👍😆
