“Everyone remembers where they were on that fateful morning.” Where was William Perry? Where was Ashton Carter? One could compile quite a long list of people, whose whereabouts on the morning of 9/11/2001 ought to be of interest. Recently retired, very senior, military and intelligence professionals, who had relevant areas of expertise, and military and intelligence professionals who wound up promoted to very senior positions in the years that followed 9/11. A serious investigation would investigate these individuals and question them under oath, with perjury not brushed under the table (ignored), but followed up on to the fullest extent of the law for such a serious matter. It seems that will never happen, which ought to tell a thinking person a lot.

how can you be so casual about it? even if it was small plane. it's a big security breach, no plane can go of course off radar without control towers hitting panic button and here we are talking about 4 planes going off course, off radars and heading towards targets with enough timeline for your air defense to intercept if decision maker put in charge had any brains to do so... so those who get those positions do not know what their work is... the civil control towers are always with in touch with cleared flight plans given to air flights. I know that having been civil pilot. and if flights go off course it is immediately gets to be known more so in Domestic flights these were not going across Atlantic or overseas, that is even more alarming if cleared for international flight plans and they veer in some targets in domestic air space...there was enough timeline to take air defense action.

He didn't sound very casual to me. Especially when he brought up Flight 93.

The mere fact that the CIA briefing wasn’t alarming just shows how unexpected the whole thing was. There was absolutely no chatter about an act of terror. Scary.
