What actualy happened: over 90% of the democratically elected Ukranian parlement voted in favor of the European free trade and association agreement, and Yanukovich decided to overturn this decision single handedly because of pressure from the Kremlin. The response was a very understandable outrage among the population and a realisation he should be removed from power as he would not uphold the will of the people. Ofcourse like a broken record Russia will always blame the west for everything but in reality people in Ukraine just wanted their democratic vote upheld. They do not want to live under the thumb of the dictator in the kremlin any longer. And all Putin did with his invasion is drove Ukranians into the arms of the west even faster.

@@deanbeerlandt1217 This war was lost when the 5 day 'Special Military Operation' failed to take an under-equipped Kyiv in Ukraine. Russia lost all of its Russian Spetsnaz within 48 hours, which was actually shocking to say the least. Yet Ukraine still stands and is getting enormous amounts of help now, all I'm going to say is, 50 countries economies supplying Ukraine with no restrictions, is certainly going to outlast Russia alone which is under sanctions and financial instability, it can't afford to replace equipment its lost, which is enormous.
