once again his logic is failing! Should it make me sleep better at night thinking that one of the most horrible regimes in the world (Russia) would become the most powerful superpower in the world? (USA). Thank God USA stands strong with its allies in the fight for democracy , freedom and free speech across the world! How many Americans follow any news from Africa, Asia, Latin America, or even the Middle East, after all our involvement there? The answer to your question about justifying the military action comes next. Ever hear of R2P? Responsibility to Protect. Search it. Invasion is usually wrong and illegal. BUT- Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1978 to stop Pol Pot's genocide. (2 Million dead!) Few complained. The Vietnamese protected the people of Cambodia. Ukraine shelled Donbass for 8 years, killing 14,000 people! Fewer than died under Pol Pot, but still a lot of tragedies! ( Almost NO coverage in the West about that!) Putin was RESTRAINED about it, seeking a solution through the Minsk Agreements and the UN, to no avail. It wasn't until just months ago, with increased shelling, driving evacuees into Russia, and Ukraine massing 100 to 120,000 of their best troops just outside of Donbas, that Putin, also under pressure from activists in Russia to DO SOMETHING ALREADY!- to protect their Russian-speaking "cousins" just across the border, Putin finally took action. If you had relatives living next door, and saw their kids in the back yard being bullied and threatened with death, I hope you would DO SOMETHING! Strikes me like you've only gotten one side of the story. I'd recommend Oliver Stone's "Ukraine on Fire", not to be confused with Netflix' "WINTER on Fire", which comes up first on You Tube's search, despite not being in alphabetical order. You Tube REMOVED Stone's film at first, but protests got it back. It seems their tactic now is to derail your attention. Search "U", and get "W"! "Soft censorship". I hope you check it out.

Putin has many interesting interviews, but all the journalists constantly interrupt him, trying to impose their point of view. I mean Western journalists. America, in my opinion is pulling the strings on this war, there is no talk of peace not even pretending to listen to the concerns of Russia. Yes a lot is propaganda but there are facts too that are being overlooked such as NATO expansion or the minsk agreement as well as nazi group designated as a terrorist group not long ago, now part of the national guard and of course the coup in 2014 which as the leaked audio shows Victoria Nulald played a key role. If you have a home and you're being harassed by your neighbor what would be the best and fair solution? I don't think it is that you abandon your home. The best solution is to come to an agreement. Those were the Minsk agreements but Kiev wouldn't respect them and war got worst. I don't think it's fair to say that people living there should go. The Ukrainian government should be condamned for human rights violation against its own people and, of course, if Russia and whoever does it, too.

Lavrov should give all interviews to foreign media in english from now on. There has been too much "lost in translation" especially recently. It seems that western audience never gets the exact words of the Russian side, but rather a manipulated play of words delivered by western media. Although to the eyes of the separatists who've been fighting Ukrainian government forces since 2014, they are viewed as liberators. And the Russians, like Lavrov and you say so, state the denazify narrative, which I think we all know is the propahganda narrative, the true purpose he also reveals, and is something that has been a concern,talked and raised since 1990's and 2008 onwards, NATO expansion to Russia. So other European concerns of a Russian invasions are void when you consider Russias reason for the Ukraien war, much like the Georgian war. Russia has stated such even in a NATO summit to the US directly, of course, much on deaf ears. Ultranationalism existed before Russia ivnaded Ukraine so not sure what your point is there. I am here in the US, and I really wanted to hear every word of what Foreign Minister Lavrov said. The one who is interviewing him (of which I can't find his name) sounds just fine and clear. I don't know if anyone else noticed, or if it was just me, but the video had pretty bad audio, only when Mr. Lavrov spoke. Besides fading in and out, it was scratchy. It sure would be nice to have a transcript of this talk! But I'll just listen to it again, so I can catch everything. I agree that NATO should respect the countries that do NOT want, and will not stand for the spreading of their weapons of war, right to their doorstep! I agree with, and support Russia in this, as it is just wrong! If I could make a wish and a prayer to Mr. Lavrov, and with President Putin, it would be, that they would understand that it's the US "leadership", and the UK "leadership", and whoever the "others" are, pushing their idiotic policies, that we, well most of the citizen population, are totally angry about, and definitely do NOT support what they are doing, it's so evil and just doesn't make sense. And so, in saying this, we (and I believe that I speak for most of the intelligent population, here in the US, and UK, and any other countries that have dealt with this, throughout history), do not want anything to do with this escalation of war, it is pure nonsense, and would wish that Mr. Lavrov and President Putin, would think about us, who do not want a war, and perhaps only control and direct their anger, to where it TRULY needs to go! Like the robot Number 5, in that great silly movie "Short Circuit" said, "DIS-ASSEMBLE!!" and that is what needs to be done to this "organization", and others like it (besides other things, I can think of!)
