Three young voters joined News4JAX to discuss President Joe Biden’s first speech since announcing he would not seek reelection as well as the apparent matchup between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump in 2024.

This video does very well in presenting the issue to young women who are at fertile age considering children or just having sex with the intent not to have children so it's truly relevant to them. 15-16 weeks is not enough and proving rape is hard when you only have the time from when you know you are pregnant 4-6 weeks to 15-16 weeks when you are legally allowed to have an abortion in some states. Note, the young lady in green said (not verbatim) that after 16 weeks, even if you have a pregnancy condition that's threatening the mother's life, the fetus can't be aborted. That's insane to sacrifice a woman's life of over a decade(s) for a fetus that may not even be viable and hasn't had only a month of experience, if any, inside of the womb with its eyes shut. The pregnancy could be killing the mother and that's OK to some people. It's not OK. Even Jewish and Muslim religions don't think it's OK to do that.

On the subject of abortion, I never believed in it until my own married daughter had a molar pregnancy. I had never even heard of that anomaly. This can be a life threatening pregnancy. The doctor didn't diagnose as such until the fourth month. She was trying to start their family and was devastated as she had already miscarried twice. You are incorrect. Ending an ectopic pregnancy involves removing the fetus and in many cases also the tube. If you are lucky you get to retain your ovaries. You have to remove the fetus or it will continue to grow in the tube and burst, typically causing sepsis and other deadly complications. Removing the fetus is in fact a medical abortion. It is an abortion of the pregnancy.

Wrong. You have to take an abortion drug to end an ectopic pregnancy. They only operate to remove the fallopian tube if the embryo has grown too large and they have to remove it to prevent the death of the pregnant woman. Most ectopic prefnancies are ended with the drug abortion method.

The first is that it expels on its own and most times is mistaken for a monthly cycle, the second is a drug and the third is laparoscopic removal. The second and third are in effect ending the pregnancy which is the DEFINITION of abortion. Of the friends that I have that have experienced an ectopic pregnancy, laparoscopy has been the method. I don’t know of anyone lucky enough to know that they are pregnant early enough for the drug (Methotrexate) but that is the second best outcome to a natural expelling.
