Can power be provided simultaneously from the GPIO header pins? If so, which ones?

Hey is it possible to extend the wire connector from the battery? I would like the battery to have a distance from the pi zero.
@1MTSTUDIO5 жыл бұрын
We didn't use connector due to the limited space. You should probably cut the wire and extend it.

If the raspberry PI loses power, would there be an interruption in power before this battery kicks in?

Just got mine today! Does the startup script on github allow you to use the button for a graceful shutdown?
@1MTSTUDIO5 жыл бұрын
Sorry but no. The button links to the powerIC on the board just for turn on and off, it's not programmable. The startup script on github is about some recommend software, nothing to do with the battery. For graceful shutdown you can try sugar-wifi-conf on github, use your smart phone as a bluetooth controller. We will have a programmable button in the next generation of PiSugar, probably in Septemer: D

@jj9879879874 жыл бұрын
They are selling the board and battery for $35, and the case is just a dream. The thing is even more expensive than the pi zero itself, you may as well just get a 18650 battery board for raspberry pi for 5 bucks on ebay. With that you can even change battery like a tv remote. Way more efficient than this garbage.

Should sell the boards and batteries separately. slap a jst connector on the board, pair with any compatible battery and your good to go. Will sell more boards that way. I love the concept, but im not willing to spend 3x to 6x the cost of the pi itself to power it. Don't get me wrong, I understand why your prices are that high, you have only made small batches, so cost of production is high compared to what it would be in bulk. But for it to be a viable product, it needs to be available at low enough cost.
@1MTSTUDIO5 жыл бұрын
Cannot agree more with you. Now is just the beginning. We will try to make bigger batches in lower cost in the future.

SD cards are NOT magnetic supports, like mechanical Hard Disk. SD cards stores data in silicon based integrated circuit, and for this reason they are NOT affected by a magnet. Also, even if we were talking about a mechanical Hard Disk, you need a very big magnetic field to corrupt data inside (HDD not only are shielded towards external magnetic fields, but the actuator that move the read-write head has also a magnet inside).
