I'm gonna start scaling back to 1 cube for my 180sqm, last season I put 2 cubes on, didn't seem overly thick, came back good but now I have much less levelling to do, and the body will thank me

100% mate only have to do a few big top dresses then can go much lighter. Great for body and wallet

I just did mine on the weekend and the landscape supply place recommended I use propagation sand which is really course… I’ve spread it out and I feel like I’ve made a terrible mistake. I’ve got really bad drainage so figured the courser sand in the core holes would really help… I’m afraid of how this will turn out 😂
@lawnsingoodnick48342 ай бұрын
Haha it should be ok especially if you're not cylinder mowing

Good work mate, I’m gonna do a Reno on a mates Kyk next weekend, cockatoos attack the shit outta it, it’s only 50sqm, no scarifier just a rake a standard lawn mower and manual corer. Give it a crack n see how it goes
@lawnsingoodnick48342 ай бұрын
Sounds like you've got cockatoo scarifiers anyway!! haha enjoy mate

Hi, I'm enjoying your content. How many CC's would you recommend for a 2 stroke scalp pig?

Great video! I’m about 2-3 weeks out from my first Reno. A part 1ftx6ft part of my lawn slopes down 3-4 inches to a retaining wall. Do you think I can level that bit out with washed sand too?
@mathewbrown51372 ай бұрын
You definitely can. It depends on your lawn type, but if it doesn't push through it will spread into it anyway.
@lawnsingoodnick48342 ай бұрын
You may need to do it across a couple of goes but can definitely fill that in within this growing season!
@andrewdougherty803 ай бұрын
Two questions: do you need to rake up the trimmings from scalping before you scarify? And do you recommend overseeding after you top dress??
@lawnsingoodnick48342 ай бұрын
Definitely pick up the clipping and only overseed a cool season lawn or super bare and patchy lawn

Great video Nick. Is early November a good time to start this process? Got some time off work and thinking of doing it then.

G'day mate, I'm planning on plugging my lawn with Santa ana couch, once it's established how long can I get away with not doing a full Reno?? I'm on an acre. So I don't like the idea of ordering 42³m on sand and spreading that.
@lawnsingoodnick4834Ай бұрын
Damn that's a lot of sand haha I'd choose a smaller area close to the house to keep schmick and leave the rest to general mowing and maybe some granular fertiliser
@robertpoynton9923Ай бұрын
@lawnsingoodnick4834 I hear what your saying mate! I might need to get a landscaper around to suggest how to make an area for it without making it look weird.
@adrianwatson3313 ай бұрын
Really like your videos. Have you considered removing the brick edging from the paths? It's a bit old fashioned and could allow you to angle the lawn slopes at a less severe angle than what you just cut out...

Yeah I hate those pavers haha it's an option
