Excellent video my friend. My stainless exh sys just arrived, however I'm not exactly sold on that allen key clamp welded to the downpipe, I've been told that some people experience a small exhaust leak from that connection and ended up removing the allen key clamps and replaced them with the band clamps and voila! no more leaks, have you heard about doing something of this nature? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your comments! I haven’t heard that personally, and I never experienced a leak. I can see how a replacement clamp would work too though!

I did not get this exhaust because of the O2 location. A very nice exhaust with no thought in the bung location in my opinion. Who wants to see a bolted up bung when you put it back where it should be. I do like the header down pipe connection better than AR's which is a PIA. This should turn a nice gold color and be very pretty, get your grimmy finger prints wiped off.

Appreciated and copied your installation but cannot get the four-bolt connector plates to line up perfectly despite several removal and reinstallation of the bolts. Upper two OK but bottom pair won't let me tighten the bottom of the connection completely. It's about 1/16th askew. Any advice would be appreciated.
@GarageTimeTVАй бұрын
@@kennethpole2439 are you talking about where the manifold meets the head?

@@GarageTimeTV No. The square four-bolt gasketed joint between the short extension and the longer strait exhaust.

@@kennethpole2439 so I’ve seen others use longer bolts to help suck it together. I would leave all four loose then tighten on a star pattern to try and center it better.

It held itself up, but the spring tabs were there. I put them on for support so the headers don’t hold all the weight. Better to have them than not.
