And he said there was no wrong doing on the part of the police and no connivence between Jeremy Hunt and News International. Yeah right, pull the other one Lord Leveson.

We don't really want the press to be controlled by new laws, we just want journalist to behave themselves, they seem to be a law onto themselves, this has to change.

I don't really understand why nobody wants to impose laws and regulations on the press. Why do they deserve so much freedom? Who gave them their independence? Why is there not more interference, in something which clearly itself interferes so much, supposedly "informing, educating and entertaining", when really, we know that not to be the case at all. Why, even after this inquiry, are more restrictions not put in place? Who gave the press the right to be "self-regulatory"? If you work in any industry, you have to comply with a million and one health and safety regulations which stop people getting hurt. You're also not allowed to make certain comments, or say certain things, in every day life. Yet somehow, the press is given this amazing freedom to say what it likes. Why? Ordinary people could not make such claims and get away with it so easily. They would be sued left right and centre. I don't understand why people think the press is there for the public benefit. It clearly is not. I'm amazed by this.

POWER=MURDOCH. Levinson was flown out to Murdoch's yacht prior to the Inquiry. The police were deeply involved. 2 Auatralian PM's explain how he controlled them....then Cameron, etc...then POTUS's.

His recommendations don't suggest that the press would be controlled by new laws. Nobody in their right mind wants the press to be controlled by law. It is often the job of the press to challenge existing and prospective laws. I like the sound of it from here.

It didn't happen. And the police were WIDELY involved in corruption with Murdoch. Levinson had dinner on Murdoch's yacht as well...Murdoch is still the most free criminal alive with the most power.
