Haddad Maia is such a beast. Even if Zheng would have barely won the 2nd tiebreak Maia would have crushed her in the 3rd set. Zheng had nothing left but her serve by the middle of the 2nd set. Haddad Maia is going to be dangerous in the slams next year.

It's unbelievable how Zheng was cold and angry handshaking Haddad Maia on the net...awfull to see such behavior from her...Bia is so elegant with her oponents, even when she loses...GET BETTER ZHENG, great champions do not act like that... Dec 2023...

Actually Bea was just very unlucky (or Qinwen too lucky). The hawk-eye showed literally one millimeter of the ball IN, so they made the right call

All the net shots and first serves using the hawk-eye were for Qinwen. Not her fault but she was lucky in every sense throughout the match.

Even injuries happen during the matches you play 😮😮 You have to quickly remove the obstacles and pain and keep playing. Adversity has to be faced. It's such a sport. 😊

Glad you recognize that being a Chinese local. Iga used to be just like that too, now she's improving her sportmanship when losing. Hopefully Qinwen will also mature in that sense.
