Lin's backhand contact point is at the end of the racket. That's where he gets the power. He hits it closer to the tip than any other player in history.

that added with hurricane really hard sponge and really pulling on the end of the handle. It makes it so you're getting the maximum amount of leverage on the ball so you can load up the sponge with a lot of energy to release back into the ball.

Lin shidong's lower body seems to be less engaged compared to other members of CNT, whose stances rarily get upset even in awkward positions. No I don't think he is as explosive as FZD and I think the desks have been misled by their similar statures and chasing the wrong narrative; imo his backhand can be such a bullet at times is mainly due to racket contact timing and location.

Lin Shidong is really giving Fan a hard time. But I think he lost to the screamer at an international event. The screamer is not as tough an opponent as Fan. How did Lin Shidong do against Ma Long?
