Jiujitsu becomes so beautiful when both athletes are willing to stand up.I love seeing the guard have a new meaning when in the context of takedown scrambles
@CJ-hx9du2 жыл бұрын
There's NCAA division 1 wrestling and flowrestling if you just want to see stand up. The wrestling there is WAY better than this. These are great jiu jitsu guys putting on a low level wrestling match.
@the1shrubbery2 жыл бұрын
@@CJ-hx9du I've tried watching some wrestling but it's hard for me to watch grappling without submissions. Just feels like so much context is missing
@CJ-hx9du2 жыл бұрын
@@the1shrubbery But this is just low level wrestling. Neither Taza nor Mica would get onto a D1 wrestling team. Id rather see them do what they are great at, rather than see a low level wrestling match. I could watch high level wrestling in NCAA.
@the1shrubbery2 жыл бұрын
@@CJ-hx9du Here I get to watch stand up with extra context, I could see flying submission, imanari rolls for legs, takedowns which transition into guard passing scrambles or end up in a triangle etc, you don't know what's coming next. If I watch wrestling I'm not gonna see any of that, so it's not really an option for me. The point of my comment was that jiujitsu with stand up is more beautiful than buttscooting jiujitsu in my opinion.

I'm not sure about the scoring system of WNO, but MIca got the more dominant positions: 1) got the back, hooks in and, near the end, 2) a full mount. On the feet, Taza I found to be more aggressive as he kept attempting takedowns throughout the match, but he only took Mica down once. So in terms of effective aggressiveness, Taza also fell short.

Either make jujitsu submission only or create a scoring system that eliminates bias! This was a horrible decision. At no point do the athletes really know where they stand. And what's with this ref's opinion at every 5 minutes it seems like it's a secret. Where does the crowd and the athlete have access to this information? It seems like only the commentators know that the refs are favoring one athlete over the other.
