I come back to this every so often. Watching the best of America vs the best of South Korea. The risks each team were willing to make, the plays, the counters, etc. 2022, Overwatch 2. Kiriko, Lucio, reaper, soujorn & Winston. That’s it. No switching it up, no surprise picks, no counterpicks… It’s incredible to watch the best go head to head but overwatch is so much more than playing 5 hero’s over and over. Maybe the upcoming seasons will change. Only time will tell.

The camaraderie from Sinatraa and Super towards some of the South Korean players is really heart-warming to watch. Most of these players have great respect for one another and to play the game at this high of caliber is really motivating to watch. The fact that SK lost in the World Cup is crazy too. One of the best games of the WC matchups.

Honestly bro trust a veteran who survived years of ow still trying to get fun😂 the thing that makes this games so fun is the fact that is actually strategy based and coordinated, you Dont need to be at pro level to do this, if you play ranked u can be even gm and games are still not like this, just grab some friends or join a tournament and you'll experience how fun overwatch is if you play 6vs6 stacked, so much fun and intense. (even tho I know 11 months passed you maybe quit the game already)

This was not the best Korea had to offer. Lots of players including Jjonak turned down the invitation because they experienced how poorly Blizzard treated foreign players in the world cups up to that point. Basically an unpaid event, the players have to pay for their own accommodation and flight, Blizzard didn’t provide any practicing facility so the Korean players had to go to a local internet cafe and practice ahead of matches using 60fps monitors. But they provided accommodation and top facilities for the US players.

Jehong was never the shot caller of his team, that responsibility usually went to the lucio although in some cases that changes (like Esca or Fusions). IDK was the shot caller of this team.

Ryujehong almost never shotcalled on a team. He almost always was a primary healer, it makes no sense for a primary healer to be a shot caller as well. Your tank or secondary healer should be calling the shots. Mano should have taken charge, he was their front tank after all. While IDK was decent, his shot-calling was no where near the level as say Tobi or Ark.
